The pilot is often exhausted. According to a study, more than half of the pilots have fallen asleep in the cockpit. This is due to their extensive working hours and the toll the time zones take on them. I don't even want to know what happens when both the pilot and the co-pilot are fast asleep at the controls.

3. Asiana Flight 214(2013).


On July 6th, 2013, Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash landed at San Francisco International airport after its tail section hit a seawall and became detached from the rest of the fuselage, killing three people. Investigations concluded that the pilot had selected the wrong autopilot mode, decreasing the plane’s speed which caused it to land short of the runway. This accident was a prime example of pilots’ reliance on automated systems and showcased the captain in question’s lack of monitoring awareness. By the time the crew realized how low they were flying at 100 feet, it was too late to conduct a go-around.

It could also be fun in the cockpit with the control tower too. Pilots do ease themselves with a good sense of humour. LOL.

Tdayof, takoff and landing are the most dangerous moments of flying. Think about it, more planes have crashed within the airport, very close to the airport, within the city i.e during landing or take off compared to crashes in oceans, deserts forest and so on.

people tend to say taking off and landing on dangerous. But I see no reason why it should be... With my familiarity with pilots and as an aspiring pilot... If a plane should is in a good condition there should definitely be no problem with taking off and landing.
