Yes, there are federal roads in Lagos that the state govt would not look at. But most of the Trunk A roads in the state connecting major districts, have been fixed by the Lagos state govt. If a major road causes residents to spend upward of 3 hours in traffic, in a way that hampers economic productivity within the state, and represents a major source of accidents that can claim the life of many citizens, it would be irresponsible for the state govt to look the other way, simply because the federal govt has not gotten its acts together to fix that road.

So, if it takes 6 years for the federal govt to fix its own roads within a state, should the state govt turn its back on the sufferings its commuters go through on that road??

That is one area that Fashola and his team recorded significant progress. They also fixed state-govt owned roads and installed toll gates to recoup the cost from the road users.

For your information, I visit Benin regularly o! So I am not a stranger to the place. What do you find so offensive about asking the state govt to fix a dilapidated federal govt road??

Other states, where the governors repaired federal roads, did they tell you that they did not write to the Minister of Works to fix their roads, in the first instance? Was it not when they did not receive any response, and the roads were turning into death traps that those state governors, embarked on the reconstruction and repairs, by themselves??

What has Osiomhole gone through on seeking govt attention to repair federal roads, that Fashola did not go through?

Did it stop Fashola from grabbing the bull by the horns and executing the task, when they saw that fed govt was not going to come to their aid?

Don't forget that for more than 2 years, Fashola was starved of federal govt allocation because he created additional LCDAs out of the existing LG areas, in defiance to fed govt directives.

Let Oshiomhole fix the Benin-Auchi road and get his refund. Let him also sell off state govt shares by getting investors to resurrect the moribund state-owned firms, and let him create the 300,000 jobs he promised. Is that too much to ask??

To save lives and property caused by the ravages of erosion , Edo state government recently got a World Bank loan. In what way have I made another man's state my prob?? Can you even see your pattern of thinking? I go through Benin regularly. I have businesses that I handle there. I have some relatives who even work there. Are you saying that as a Nigerian, I have no right to pass a comment on what happens in Edo State, because it is not my state??

If Onolememen is Oshiomhole's problem, what stops Oshiomhole from dragging him to ICPC or EFCC or the courts along with those other 5 companies he awarded contracts to, but failed to perform?? Afterall, Onolememen stopped being a minister, since which year?

Or couldn't he have taken his case to the public domain and made noise about it, so that GEJ and the others would have intervened to get Onolememen to either fix the road, concession it, or refund the money the state govt spends on fixing the road, if the fed govt is unable to fix it? sapele rd- federal road he has been reimbursed, even at that the street along this road was not fixed, last time I past through dumez road it was flooded, dont know if it has been fixed

mission rd - This road was never bad, he only expanded the road

forestry rd- same as mission rd

siluko rd- From ogida barrack to obagie is not motor-able, ehruhnse street and others are bad

sakponba rd(upto erie market)- He only included walkway, nothing else, the areas that are bad from 3rd juction down to Oka he did not touch those part.

I will post a picture of the bad roads shortly. He deliberately avoided those roads and went about expanding the already good ones( though not bad), he should had weighed his priorities.
