I like the factual phases of it, auditing those agencies. But the rest are morale boosting rhetoric really. Which are nice, but they still don't answer the question of where we are heading as a nation, what are the strategic targets and all? This government hasn't put up a core philosophy.

Previously,
"...My government will...I shall... I go...I must to... my government is going to...trust me...bear with me..."

And you forget in other climes, you hear 'My Administration'?

Not true! I had high hopes in his speech but became highly and greatly disappointed. It's a testament that He's still under training.

He called for hope; reminding us of our potentials and how we can harness them for greatness. He was gracious; mentioning GEJ in the positive in such big speech. He took responsibility; reminding us that what we need now is not blame but solutions. On the flip side, he glossed over economic directions which we are very much interested in. In summary, great speech.

Infrastructure and how to reduce the carnage on our road.
Unemployment and social security .
Security and how to train our police to deliver 21st century policing .
Health care.
Education.
High speed Internet access to connect Nigeria with the rest of the world .

The same old watery stuff. Read/watch independence day speeches of true nations and you would feel the depth, passion and purpose radiating from the president.

Barcanista, go through the speech again. The speech was frank and conversational with compact messages packed in it.

Our major problem in this country is tribalism. Our elders are no even helping the matter.

Best of Speech ever, you guys need to read the speech as it is written. Nigerians will relate with it, because, its the truth.
Let me remind you. This goverment is not about speed but Orderliness. Nobody should be afraid. Rather, be afraid of the consequence of your actions.
