Lagos state have been in opposition since 1999 and has been budgeting half a billion naira for past 8 years and counting but no roads, in fact nothing to justify the spending,. It was reported recently (not sahara reporter) the amount Fashola used to drill two boreholes and create his website (it was reported because of the alleged fight between him and Tinubu). I am not holding brief for any politician but I think sahara reporter should be more professional in their reportage.

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly on Tuesday 29th September, 2015 approved a N10 billion naira loan for Governor Udom Emmanuel. Civil servants are being owed salaries in the State. Despite the harsh economic situation in Akwa Ibom State, the government spent several billions on the 28th anniversary celebration of the creation of Akwa Ibom State, which took place on 23rd September. This is a direct opposite of the federal government independence anniversary celebration. President Buhari according to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation "reluctantly approved" only N70 million naira for a low-key independence anniversary.

The richest state in Nigeria and largest state budgets in the whole of west africa is borrowing billions on top of the billions it already borrowed and still owe...

Federal Ind celebration = N70 billion while common Akwa Ibom spent billions on the same thing..

The writer of this article must be a “coward” permit me me to use that word. Did u bother to check or confirm the antecedent of my governor before he came into office? That he was a self-made person before even planning to contest for the election. This is a man that had dedicated his self to bring Zenith bank to where it is today and was even tipped to be the next central bank governor before forgoing it and contested as the governor of AKS.
