This is DOUGLAS road that is very close to government House OWERRI, this road was just rehabilitated just few months ago; and most of other roads in a bad shape in Owerri main town that their pictures are not included. Hmmm

Didn't I work under him for almost six months at Nikachi Nigeria Limited in collaboration with IMO State Government on waste management and recycling and up till today, didn't get even a day salary talk more of a month. All he does is to come out to the square and tell us that we shall be paid. I wasted good 6months there and didn't get even 500naira before leaving. Same with almost the 700 youths that worked there.
And he wants their prayers abi? Ok oo

Try Orlu, same Imo State. Was stuck there for two days last week.

Try world bank axis you will weep, no street roads and the major thoroughfare is failing.

When I tell Abagworo the type of roads and rehabilitation rochas engaged in he thinks I am being too critical..a tour round owerri wil make shake his head in despair at the so called rehabilitated or constructed roads.i wonder who he thinks he is deceiving

He wants to use his free educational system in imo state to campaign, that s why he want to sustains it till 2019. Meanwhile some imo state road networks re poor.

Rochas' ineptitude goes beyond road construction.

It is in all spheres of government from education to sanitation to maintaining a functional civil service (he owes months in salaries ), security and healthcare ( I weep for this sector).

The road situation is now a nightmare and what did he do in response - a proliferation of substandard uncompleted projects that have worsened the situation.


All the roads Rochas built are failing - the so called inland roads already have potholes. Right infront of police headquarters adjacent government house has a deep gully and that road was rehabilitated by Rochas.

The man is a failure and a fraud.
That has always been my stance, I wonder if the sycophants who know themselves esp one male and one female can now bury their heads in shame.

Funny enough most of these roads were constructed by his own company (Roche Contruction company)

And where is Berem and Abagworo when you need them??

Some Sec. Schools may close next rainy reason in Orlu. Roads that lead to them were scrubbed since 2012 by Rochas govt and abandoned.

Jonathan not Rochas duty to handle Okigwe federal highway. I am in support of holding Rochas to account for wherever he has erred but not in outright lies or misplaced blames. The OP is a born liar to claim all roads in Owerri is bad. Flooding is normal on flatlands but becomes an issue if prolonged after several hours. We are witnessing the worst case of floodings in Port Harcourt this year as well and it has led to many roads developing cracks and heavy potholes. This includes the parts of East West road constructed last year by Setraco. Now we wait for dry season to have any meaningful rehabilitation. Palliative measures should however be done to help reduce people's sufferings.

These pictures are disgusting...can our governments find innovative and local ways to build roads....I seem to remember reading how Awolowo during his premiership used local products to build the roads in ikeja industrial estate....those roads are still durable till now!!!

Akwakuma is part of Owerri capital territory.
It is in Owerri north.
