A video shared last night on the official Facebook page of Aljazeerah showed photos of a man who claimed to be a Nigerian soldier attached to the 3rd armored division training in bathroom slippers and without uniforms at the Nigerian Army Training Center in Katangura, Niger state.

According to the soldier who shared the photos, he is one of the recently reinstated soldiers who was fired by Goodluck Jonathan's administration for refusing to fight Boko Haram.However he refused to reveal his identity for fear of being penalised.

Read what he said below.....

"How can someone be training with his bathroom slippers[left][/left]? How could someone be training in his ordinary clothes? None of us having rifle. None of us having uniform. Majority of soldiers are hungry" he said

Speaking further, he accused the military management of embezzling the fund for soldiers' welfare.

"I beleive the government released the money but it is unfortunate that some people have decided that that is the only way of making their million".

He said that the homes where their wives and children stay lack electricity, good toilet facility or running water.

Chief of Army staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai however said soldiers mustn't train in their uniforms.

"You dont have to always train in your uniform. The ethics is been dispatched to their units for them to be relocated and to be rearmed"

Some soldiers in the Nigerian army say they're being trained to fight in their slippers, and are not being given the proper equipment to combat Boko Haram.Army commanders are denying money meant for food, accommodation, training and equipment has been stolen by some officers. Whatever this government does should not be dismissed with the wave of a hand. Its a carefully planned thing. I personally believe that buhari's government doesn't want these men to go away with the rich knowledge they possess. They could be a strong impediment to a future plan so the best thing is to draw them back to the battle front for another ambush. Mark this my comment today. Future events will validate this post.

You guys can believe anything if you believe this, haba!!!

Why are we always ready to believe the worst about our own country?? The so called oyibos do all they can to discredit our motherland and gullible nigerians praise them to high heavens..

We've gone past the days of just swallowing trash. Nigeria Army has many training institutions and i have friends and colleagues who passed thru them. I believe there are NLs who live in Zaria and know about Nigeria Army Depot where recruits are first trained. Its not like dis. Has never been and never will be!!!

After you guys will get angry when the Army high command accuses NL for being the hotspot for fake news..

Out of patriotism sef, lets be asking those carrying negative news about our beloved 9ja to shut up.
