UK National Crime Agency has no plan to charge Alison-Madueke, confiscates £27, 000 from her

The National Crime Agency has no plan to charge former Petroleum Minsiter, Mrs Deziani Alison- Madueke, a spokesman for the Agency told the Guardian on Monday , after the NCA had got a court order to keep the £27,000 found on her till next April.

Meanwhile, Mrs Alison did not appear at the court today as was reported

Embattled former Minister of Petroleum in the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, did not appear at Court 10 of the Westminster Court in company with her mother as being widely reported.

To seize that money they must have shown the judge satisfactory prima facie evidence that it could be the proceeds of crime. Now they can launch an open and full investigation into the activities of the woman and her cohorts. And incidentally President Jonathan would not be spared. With the court's permission the NCA can now subpoena documents from companies, banks, real estate bodies, etc. What the NCA is doing now is to complete the investigation started in 2013. Guardian is lying when it reports that the NCA is not planning to charge Allison-Madueke to court. In actual fact, the NCA is planning to charge her to court, as soon as they complete their investigation, which includes obtaining additional evidence from Nigeria, other EU countries, and the USA."
