Walking across the suspension bridge from one end to the other, is an adventure you will never forget in a hurry. For the thrill-seeking tourists, this should also be an addition to your to-do-list when visiting Germany.

The longest suspension bridge in Germany stretched over the Geierlay Canyon was opened to the public on Saturday, 3 October, 2015.

The bridge is 1,200ft-long, suspended 300 feet (91 metres) above a scenic forested valley between Morsdorf and Sosberg in Germany. The construction of the 1,200ft-long bridge began on 26 May, 2015 and it was finished in 130 days. They really mean business. Lol.

Thousands of thrill-seeking tourists have been making the trek across the bridge.

While the bridge is the main attraction in the region, tourism officials are also using it to promote hiking trails in the area and hoping to draw around 180,000 visitors every year to boost the local economy by €2.5 million (£1.8million).

Same thing that occurred to me. Hope the officials are careful the max carrying capacity of the bridge doesn't get exceeded.

I climbed the newly commissioned bridge at the Lekki conservatory in April or so. Was quite a thrill. Though it's nowhere as scary as this one.

Yeah, it seems so but the number of people on the bridge at once is being controlled. They sure do not want hundreds of people dead.
