You asked whay kind of Gospel would be preached to the poor, i quoted Jesus' words, his gospel to the poor and yet you say i twist the scripture. I didnt even explain any words from it cos it was plain for all honest persons to see. To say you stopped me in my tracks will be the most unreasonable thing to say, cos I didn't put those words in Jesus' mouth.

Just like so many Christians, you only read what you want to from the bible and ignore the ones you don't want to hear! But the truth is obvious for all who seek it!

Stop wailing, I asked you... Jesus said he 2as to preach the gospel to the poor... You said he said from Luke that the poor are blessed folks, who will have the kingdom of God... Question is, why don't you stay poor so that you'll be blessed and have the kingdom of God?

If you're rich, why not get poor so as to be blessed and have the kingdom of God?

Bible Heroes were stunningly rich, except by choice eg Paul and some apostles/disciples.

If you are poor today, make sure it's your choice and not the devil's maneuvers on you.

Was the above talking about spiritual wealth? Have you forgotten that the moment we got born again, we became heirs of God, having all Jesus has, because we're the seed of Abraham?

Meaning the Christian is not the poor trying to be rich, but the rich discovering his inheritance.




Poor in spirit is different from poor folks. Simple.. Your Bible reference was wrong too

Surprisingly this is coming from pastor Chris. How can you tell people to shun love of money, when you foster that love by telling that God only blesses you by making you rich? In other words, if you re serving God and not rich, then something is wrong with you!

What more can we say? He taught about having faith for supply . He taught about how to receive which is by giving or sharing . Money doesn't come by prayer but through giving or sharing . Those are principles .

There is a different e between physically blind man and a spiritually blind man. Just as there is a difference between physically poor man and spiritually poor man so don't mix the two . When Paul dealt with spiritually blind person ,he made it clear. When he dealt with physically poor he made it clear too. We should not interchange just to push our ideology

Haven't you read in scripture where one church said she was rich or wealthy but the Lord said she was poor wretched? So that tells me someone having money or riches doesn't mean he or she is not poor. He's poor BECAUSE HE OR SHE IS WITHOUT THE GOSPEL PREACHED UN TO HIM OR HER, not because he has money or not.

Oh Dad! Now you say what's on your mind and how you feel about the issue. Its better that way than explaining the scriptures to suit your opinion!

I am not against being rich!

But I wouldnt lie to people that Jesus said when they serve God they will be rich in the name of prosperity gospel, cos Jesus never did that!

Jesus even said riches CAN prevent one from entering God's kingdom.

He even asked a certain young rich ruler to sell off his properties, give the proceeds to the poor and come follow him.

The bible encourages people to work hard and be content with what they able to make and if they acquire wealth in the process, they should not put their trust in and hope on their wealth (1 Timothy 6:6-8,17).

Talking about bible heroes being stunningly rich, do you mean men like Elijah, Samuel, Isaiah etc?
