Listen to the elements of their traditional/cultural music, you'll hear some igbo influence in them.
Come to food, you'll still see the influence.
Maybe it's cos of inter-marriage

You are the one that is now flaunting Igbanke in your post. My last post had nothing to do with the Igbanke people. It focused squarely on the Esan and Afenmai people. So why are you digressing to chanting "Igbanke" like a mantra?? Was that the subject under discussion?? And what does Ogbemudia have to do with this issue? My relative married an Edo man and I used to stop by to see them, on my way to the South-East during my field tours. And the man used to entertain me a lot as a good in-law, with their traditional music, food etc. I did not detect any Igbo influence in their music, oh!

Exactly no Igbo influence at all! Mostly blues and funk influenced sounds with traditional melodies..
