You are right.
this is the first bank robbery at festac town. It has never happened before.

Ecobank and UBA at 21road too cannot be robbed for same reason I mentioned. The police station is very close to the bank too.

I pray no life was lost

was born and bred in festac. Parked out in 2008 when I got married. The only thing that brings me to festac is weddings.

RIP to the dead.
Re: Bank Robbery In FESTAC Town by JohnVianney:
i was there live and there were casualties.
i had to take cover behind a heavy concrete wall. Those guys were loaded with lots of heavy ammunition, the bullets from those guns burst through many walls infact, they came fully prepared.
As I approached the banks (immediately after they had departed) i heard someone screaming so i went to investigate and saw that one of the straight bullets had killed a mother and her child.
This was just one out of many other numerous cases of casualties.
There were blood stains on the street among many other graphic sights.

It was a very gory experience.

They say that dear, that use to be my hood, the 2 operations I experienced this year was on that Alakija.
Let's just pray for God's help not by power neither is it by might.
Robbers can never rob at 2nd avenue because there's no canal near and there's always heavy traffic at alakija and 2nd gate.[/quote]

Its FCMB not FinBank... I called the 767 RRS num 5mins into the robbery, they confirmed they were aware. The robbery lasted almost an hour and the police didn't show up untill 30mins after d incident. #SMH

Someone should radio fatai festac police. When it comes to police work they will run. I was at the Festac post office when this robbery was going on. A lot of ammunition was expended.
I initially thought BH came for attack and I left through 22 road by 31 road, saw a police truck with the occupants lying inside the gutter all without their uniform.

I wouldn't have been so confident driving around with some packets of SK if I knew it was a bank robbery going on.

To cut long story short, Festac police needs total overhaul from the AC to the lowest rank is full of corruption. I hope PMB is reading this now. FESTAC police needs total overhaul.

I don't think any kind of dynamites would penetrate the security doors of banks. They are highly equipped, if not expertise. But the question is: how come?
in your dream c4 would damage anything placed on it's part even heavy chemical like strong water would open a bank vault
never underestimate the power of elements and the chemist my 2cent

So why's this making frontpage a whole two hours later? A considerable amount of people who would've avoided the area when this was originally posted must've gotten caught in the commotion. I pray everyone gets out of this situation unhurt.

The water way from festac by first Avenue extends to mile 2 and then unto the island and lekki in one direction and Ikorodu in the other.. Lagos ferry service ran the route In the 80s.. Unfortunately no one can 's looking into that route now except armed robbers..
