Looking at the current market trend, .net developers are paid more.
Now I feel I should move on to .net or better move to Java or still wait on web with RoR.

The challenge is now, and the future expectations.
What do you feel on these three next.

Java ? .net ? Ruby after php

Or

Should I stick to my php and wait till I get better offer

It takes a life time to learn any including php

You can learn the basics of any language within 24 hours . . but it takes forever to MASTER it . .

Which nonsense 24hours to learn which basics?? Except if u are cming from a very solid programming background and I mean "very solid" otherwise, a newbie can never learn php is 24hrs

I agree but it doesn't have to be "very solid" and a newbie is a newbie, they have to start learning programming concepts from scratch.

just because it's taking you forever to learn PHP; doesn't mean everybody has got a block-head as you ..
i repeat, a newbie with zero programmings skills can easily write out 100 lines meaningful code the next day . . .using notepad for that matter.
PHP is just too cheap to even compare . . .
