Ok.....so I started following this trend recently. I applied for SOWP and I got my TRV. I know most people here are applying for study permit, but just to encourage those that have spouses that would like to apply in the future.
Application.......Aug 12th
Biometrics.........Aug 14th
Medical Request mail.........September 21st
Medical done...........September 22nd
Medical passed.........September 25th
Passport Request.........October 7th
Approval mail.....October 13th

Its not by my power, its all my God's grace.. To all TRV hopefuls, keep holding on to God and let him be the center of it all. Your TRVs will be approved.

Firstly congratulations on your TRV. Your balance tuition balance will not affect you at the POE. Make sure you have your receipt for the previous tuition payment in your hand bag and the new letter sent to you. I came here with just $500 tuition deposit paid so it is good thing that you have paid part of your tuition fee. Welcome to best province in canada. Make sure you come with winter clothes because is going to be cold. Welcome to British Columbia.

its good u have a potential supervisor already. The funding will usually cover your tuition and a monthly stipend for upkeep/books. So no worries!

True for the most part. But in my intended school, univ of Regina, you can transfer from an MEng to Msc program or get admitted to a Phd programme with an MEng by taking additional courses.

I suggest you check wether that is possible in your intended school.

Cheers.

Dear Seniors,

Good morning to you all.

I am new on this thread but, I need your advice. I have Master Degree here in Nigeria (Managerial Psychology) which was evaluated to be a Canadian Master's Degree from WES in Canada coupled with 6.0 overall band IELTS score on general training. I am planning to take up another graduate programme in Canada.

Please, I need your recommendation on good, affordable universities and provinces with affordable living standard in Canada. I still wish to know if it is compulsory for students to return to home country after programme or there can be a change of visa status.

I look forward to your prompt advice.

Thanks.

A decision is normally made at MUN after the closing date for application and acceptance of supporting documents

In your case I suppose the deadline is February, so expect a decision from March next year as the SGS has said

I recently read about Canada's pgwp & I'd like to ask; if I should study a 1yr course which leads to getting 1 year work permit, can I put in for another 1yr programme & still be granted 3yrs work permit as applicable to the 2yrs of study.

Secondly, can I complete a 2yr program in about 8months by combining semesters, thereby reducing the duration?

Thirdly, can I start a part time job while in school?

Thks
