Consistency is my mantra. Even in private life, I had always maintained a certain stance over issues and never indulged in flip floppings. That if you are to tell my friends that I said something, they will more than likely to know whether I said such a thing. Having said that, am very open minded and can change my opinion once am convinced with facts that am wrong. Hence since I joined Nairaland in its earlier days, I had never hide the fact that Mohammed Buhari and Ebitu Ukiwe are the two and only Nigerian living politicians that I trust as deeply honest persons until such a time I see facts to change that. I had never changed in my belief that Emeka Ojukwu, Sam Mbakwe and my father are the only three Igbo men I can trust my life with, living or late. I had never changed my stance of the fact that Nigeria created after 1970 is not my cup of tea and a strongest believer of the independent of Biafra from Nigeria and wished others who wants to continue with one Nigeria well and its an affront to call Nigeria a zoo because Nigeria has potential to be great but without us Biafrans. Finally, from day one, right from his day as a deputy governor I had always maintained that Goodluck Jonathan lacks what it takes to be my Town Union president, let alone a president of nearly 200 million people. He is weak, dines with corruption, opportunist individual. And he confirms my stance by the way he behaved through Alamesiegha's impeachment, when Yar Adua was ill, how he manipulated and used Ndigbo, starting with his fake and concocted Azikiwe middle name, his wife's unrestricted impunity in Rivers and Bayelsa states, his role in Fayose's comeback, his Buruji romance and the stadium job interview scandal and tragedy. . So op, do not give Buhari my name. Am not his supporter but rather an admirer. I defended his name when I was a lone ranger against what I knew to be falsehood. It has nothing to do with politics. Am going to change, if he changes tomorrow. So far, he is still the same man. |

LMAO, this article is a bloody joke! I sometimes felt the writer was being sarcastic and deceptively ironic, lol! As if we are not the Nigerians that they claim 'don't mind waiting'. The nation's economy is dried up and everyone is feeling it, yet a'sshole lickers like our dear Ngeneukwenu purposefully decide to live in denial for whatever reasons best known to them. Anyway, you and your president should better sit up or else una never even see the beginning of what the proud wailers have planned for you all. Just dey watch. |

On the way to our promised land. The journey has started, the captain is ready and determined, all technical crews are being given good drilling. We shall continue to witnessing better and better Nigeria from now on. Those who are still in doubt about this great movement will soon see why they should key in. |

NgeneUkwenu:'Babatunde Fashola, an ex-lawyer.' Seriously? But The Economist should stop this shamefully biased and partisan journalism already. In one breath disparaging Nigeria, and in the next extolling Buhari and his nominees. It's patronising! |

President Buhari has good intentions for this country and he is passionate about saving her. This thought gives me hope that all will be well soon. God bless Mr President! God bless all good people of Nigeria!! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!! |

Payments were made together with huge promises of oil wells and contracts to rebrand already battered image of the party and its presidential candidate by some power hungry sonspirators. Promises were too good to be ignored, and so both the local and foreign media houses struggle to make impacts in bringing down the former government in Nigeria for a juicy package. The tempo has to be sustained to avoid renege accusations, even in the face of economic recession, growing number of unemployed youths, lack of policy direction, no drastic steps or investments in power and refineries, which could affect the enforcement of the terms of the agreement. It takes little or no efforts to sell such evil ideas to particularly Nigerian youths who most of the time exhibit thoughtlessness in political issues that require painstaking. This is because they get satisfied at such news coming from a foreign media, meant to cover up international conspiracy against Nigerian society. All will fail! |

anonimi:All you do here is to post pointless pictures up and down and talk like a half-educated nitwit. Which economy was prosperous at hand over? Where is Michelin, Dunlop and co? Do you know how many companies that left Nigeria to Ghana during the dark era of your clueless hero? Compare the number of Nigerian students in Ghana in 1999 when PDP planks took over to now, and you may get a feel of what prosperity means. More to the point how do u expect a growing economy in the face of falling oil prices knowing that retardeen met and left a mono-economy? Does Buhari control oil prices? Why don't you tell your fellow TANoids how the growth forecast of Africa (and even China) is heading southwards and how the world economy is slowing down? You, my friend, are a mindless wailer and you can never see anything good about Buhari! That's your opinion and you have every right to have one. Just stop being so damned treacherous. |

omenka:The Economist is over 150years old. Also, I doubt if Tinunu supports Fashola's candidacy. Also, Tinubu would need over a billion pounds to buy the paper. And the Economist always speaks truth to power no matter whose ox is gored. |

Am I surprised? no. Buhari is a British stooge, what other evidence do I need to prove it? imagine Audu Ogbe? who we all know that failed in the 80s, when will these people know that the close presence of th Brits is detrimental to national development of Nigeria, the Brits went to war because they wanted the Falkland islands, and they are also looking at Hon kong, with envie, so how do you guys think that a country as big as Nigeria wiĺl be left just like that? I stopped listening to the BBC long time ago because of things like these. They fill the minds of African youths with garbage. |

Just imagine ....only 36 people fa...one from each state. Buhari should dig deeper and unearth more ....rhis time from.our young ones. They are there. I have hope. |
