Enyimba’s Aliyu out of Burkina Fasso clash

Home based Eagles will be without the services of Enyimba midfeilder Abdulrazak Aliyu when they face Burkina Fasso in the CHAN Qualifiers on Saturday in Port Harcourt. This follows his release from camp as a result of injury. The national team via its twitter handle @NGSuperEagles confirmed the exit of the enyimba strong man adding that 24 players are currently left in camp.
Meanwhile the team continued to shape up for theGarden Cityshowdown Wednesday defeating Nigerian National League (NNL) side Shekarau Babes 3-1 in a friendly played at the Adokie Amiesiamaka Stadium

NFF stops cash for Eagles bonuses

Players of the Super Eagles will no longer be paid their win bonuses by cash, beginning from next month’s World Cup qualifier, AfricanFootball.comhas specially gathered.
Players of the country’s team have been directed to open accounts with a particular local bank, where their win bonuses will now be paid.
“We have been asked to open foreign currency accounts with a bank where our bonuses will now be paid,” a player informed AfricanFootball.com.
This directive comes on the heels of a new financial policy pertaining to foreign currencies adopted by the new government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
This arrangement is one of the measures contained in a players’ code of conduct ,NFF president Amaju Pinnick announced will soon be implemented.
The Eagles as well as the various national teams have thus far been paid their bonuses in cash.
Last year, the country’s former sports minister Tammy Danagogo therefore had to fly with a presidential jet to Brazil with over three million US dollars to pay the team appearance bonuses for the World Cup.

He z good but gbolahun salami has been the best so far....
As for me i d love to see Ezekiel BASESEY ...dubbed the Nigerian Hazard.
Both of them are wingers and possess good crossing abilities though Ezekiel is a better dribbler .beats three markers at a go ...Aggreh has the speed and the eye for goal.
Salami is a ok but he isn't even the best on his team. They win just fine when he goes on national team duty.

Look here BascoVanVeli your knowledge of the NPFL isn't encouraging, to say tge least....
Did you just say Gbolahun isn't the best player in Warri Wolves?
GbolahunSalami has been the most consistent NPFL player for the past two years and his consistency has also shown in his SEagles performances.
Gbolahun salami has got 15 goals already this season.
Gbolahun has four solid goals this month alone and today being
October 14th one could comfortably say this mont has just begun.....
He has just shot his team into contention for the league title ..
Meanwhile Aggreh's Sunshine are battling for a Continental spot ...NOTE! they aren't title contenders .
And you say Aggreh is the best in the league ?
Aggreh cannot even boast of being the in his club Sunshine Stars .Forget the media hype TUNDE ADENIJI has been more influential to the team's success followed by Paul ONOBI.
You claimto have good knowledge of the NPFL yet I ve never seen a post made in your name on the NPFL thread.
Stop the deceit n just stick to your foreign leagues instead of making wrong assertions .

Thank you.

Hep! That day, our hands will be so full. Algeria will give our players a good run for their money. They are so full of speed, they never get tired so easily. At times I begin to imagine, what actually is behind these North African teams. Could it be as a result of the weather or eating habbit? They can be so fast on and with the ball, hep!

Uzoenyi’s high wages scare-away suitors

Mamelodi Sundowns ace, Ejike Uzoenyi has attracted interests from within South Africa and beyond, but the major stumbling block has been the high wages the Nigeria forward commands at the PSL club.
Sources said that he is one of the highest earners at the PSL club, but refused to put a figure to this salary.
The source said: “Ejike is one of the highest wage earners at Sundowns and still has a number of years to run on his contract at the club.
“There have been a lot of interests on the player from clubs in South Africa and outside, but for most of them, the big consideration is the player’s salary; it is one of the highest at Sundowns.”
Sundowns are yet to decide on Uzoenyi, who has not been registered for the PSL this season after a debut season which was hampered by a long-term injury.
The former Enugu Rangers star, who was the MVP at last year’s CHAN in south Africa, is still training with ‘The Brazilians’ after two major injuries including a groin complaint that needed surgery.

Illness Rules Simon Out Of Mouscron-Peruwelz Clash

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Moses-Simon2.jpg
By Johnny Edward:
Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has been ruled out of Gent’s away clash at Mouscron-Peruwelz this weekend, Comple tesportsnigeria.com can report.
Simon who has been linked with a January move to Italian side Fiorentina is currently ill and has not been listed for the trip to Stade Le Canonnier in Mouscron.
But the 20-year-old could return for Gent’s UEFA Champions League clash away to Valencia next Tuesday at the Mestalla Stadium.
Simon has played ten Jupiler League games this season without scoring, despite scoring twice in his four international appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
His last goal for Gent was in April in his side’s 2-0 win over Kortrijk. Gent are currently second on the log with 20 points from ten games.
Simon scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Gent last season as they lifted the title.

Ighalo Voted September Complete Sports Player Of The Month

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/35FB12B92F4310A313739302631D81D0.jpg
Odion Ighalo has been voted Complete Sports Player of the Month for September.
The prolific Watford and Super Eagles forward polled 54 per cent of Complete Sports readers’ votes, beating off Ahmed Musa and Obafemi Martins who had 22 per cent and 24 per cent respectively.
Ighalo’s choice wouldn’t come as a surprise following his good scoring form in September for Watford in the Premier League. And just on Sunday, he helped the Super Eagles defeat Cameroon in an international friendly match after scoring the third goal.
It should be noted that this is Ighalo’s third award this year. He was voted Player of the Month for January/February and also in April.
Ighalo kicked off September when he emerged the hero for Watford against Swansea when they took them on at Vicarage Road, on the 12th. Ighalo scored the only goal which gave Watford a 1-0 win.
Against Newcastle at St. James’ Park, seven days later, Ighalo scored twice, as Watford defeated the Magpies 2-1.
And in the game against Crystal Palace on September 27, Ighalo could not rescue his team from losing despite playing throughout the encounter as they succumbed to a Yohan Cabaye penalty, losing 1-0 at home.
Ighalo has already hit the ground running in the month of October after scoring in Watford’s 1-1 draw against Bournemouth. And one can bet that there is more to expect from him.

Emem Uduok has been neither here nor there for Esperance
Same would have happened to RabiuAli of kano Pillars had he not returned from his sojourn to Asia.
Our League just Needs Sponsors and I hope LMC continues to thejr good works ... State governments should properly fund clubs ,appoint proper professionals rather than politicians as Club Chairman .or simply sell these clubs to private investors.
It's a pity that foreign based bench warmers get the nod ahead of home based pros who feature regularly for their club sides...
Players Usman Mohammed deserves a place in that super eagles squad,he showed his class against Niger ,He doesn't necessarily have to be a starter ,let him fight for his place in the team .

Okay take a look at SHehu Abdulahi mfd
who played in our last friendly against Cameroon Last year SHehu was in the kano Pillars squad that won the league.
This guy wasn't half as good as his his counterpart in the team Rabiu Ali and it was proven in the 2013 CHAN tournament when RAbiu put up an exceptional display .
Today the lesser talent SHehu Abdulahi now plays in an unknown club in Portugal and makes the SEagles call ups while RAbiu ALi who is by my count the highest scoring MFD in the league cannot make the team. What message has this passed to the players in the league other than do well go here and move abroad before hoping for an SEagles call up.
Steven keshi showed us that it could work when he started in 2013 and gave both sets of players equal opportunities in the team ,as time went on some of these players moved abroad and he never bothered to make fresh recruits tr r po m the league .
Players like Reuben Gabriel moved to Kilmarnock Oboabona who already had three freekick goals for Sunshine and 1 in a Nations cup qualifier against Rwanda or so moved to Bursaspor MBA Sunday MBa moved to one third division french side..
Ejike Uzuenyj move to Momolodu Sondows (you go fear name naa ....lol)
Of recent the likes of DAniel Apeyi, Emem uduok
etc.....
The question remains, apart from financial improvement which is the main catalyst for the exodus of our players to obscure leagues in what other aspects have they improved since leaving the shores of this country.

Victor Moses relishes return to Palace

Victor Moses will return to old club Crystal Palace on Saturday
Moses went to school just a few streets away from Selhurst Park and was given his breakthrough into the professional game by ‘The Eagles’ after becoming one of the star performers at the club's Academy.
The Nigeria international made his debut for the club back in 2007 and spent three-years at Palace before making a move to Wigan in 2010.
Moses, who joined West Ham on a season-long loan from Chelsea during the summer, said he will never forget his time in south London, but stressed he is now part of a new challenge at his latest club.
And the 24-year-old is determined to help ‘The Hammer’ maintain their superb away form following memorable victories at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Moses said: “I remember playing at Palace for Liverpool and the fans gave me a great reception.
“I grew up there and spent most of my years at Palace. I really enjoyed my time there and it is good to see them in the Premier League.
“They have done really well this season and they will be a hard team to beat away from home.
“I am a West Ham player now and I just want to enjoy my football and help us get the three points.
He also hailed ‘The Hammers’ fans for supporting the team and the players.
“The West Ham fans always stick with the players and it is amazing how they support you all the time. I am very pleased to be here and enjoying my football,” he said.
“Alan Pardew has been at West Ham before and he is now doing very well at Palace. He organises the team very well, but we are working hard in training to make sure we go there and get the three points.
“I believe in the team and we have a good manager. I think we are going to surprise a lot of teams this season and will be up there.”
Moses has nothing but praise for the job Slaven Bilic has done since arriving at the Boleyn Ground during the summer and feels he is getting the best out of everyone in the squad.
Moses added: “Slaven is a top manager. He encourages you and gives you the right advice. He wants us to go out and enjoy our football. He wants me to do more as a player and help the team.
“He changed the philosophy of West Ham and everyone can see the difference. We are doing very well and we want to stick by him and do very well this season.”

Ighalo wants to score against 'on-form' Arsenal

Odion Ighalo has told AfricanFootball.com he hopes to score for Watford to beat Arsenal on Saturday in the English Premier League.
The Nigeria international striker has scored five goals in eight EPL games and scored one of the goals on Sunday when Nigeria beat Cameroon 3-0 in Belgium in a friendly.
"Our target is to try and play good football, defend well and take any opportunities that come our way to score goals. My target is to help my team play well and score goals," Ighalo told AfricanFootball.com
“Arsenal are doing well at the moment, so it won’t be easy, but we hope for the three points.
"Yes we are ready to go, it’s not going to be easy for us. Arsenal play the best football in England but we are going to try and do something in the game.”
The former Udinese forward said his preparation ahead of the game against ‘The Gunners’ is not special.
"Nothing special or different in the way I am preparing for the game, it's the same way have been getting ready for all my games, but I am sure the coach has his tactics for the game," he said.

Everything you've said so far on the NPFL is quite spot on.

Kudos Sir..... Well done.

Little wonder you "always" insist that our CHAN Eagles(Home-based Super Eagles) will beat our best Super Eagles first 11 (of only foreign-based players).

Your knowledge of the NPFL is pretty outstanding but I don't buy the fact that the Super Eagles foreign pros best 11 will lose to our NPFL's finest 11. A draw may result at the worst. But a win for the CHAN eagles? Well, I put the "probablity" of that happening as 20/80.

But all the same, You are "100%" right about this. Our Current CHAN Eagles are "very very strong".

In fact, they look good on paper compared to the side that won "bronze" at the 2014 CHAN.

Take a look at that backline, people.... Chima Akas, Solomon Kwambe, Idris Aloma, Stephen Eze and co...

Really nice options there..... I wonder why Chinedu Udoji of Enyimba wasn't called up.

Our CHAN Eagles midfield is the department that excites me the most...... AND I THINK HEREIN LIES ONE OF THE "KEY REASONS" why Sir Jaypea98 declares with all certainty that Our Super Eagles foreign pros will lose to this team.

Wonderful talents I must say..... The likes of El-kanemi's Ifeanyi Matthew (YOU ALL KNOW THIS GUY!!! *smiles*), Usman Mohammed of FC taraba, Paul Onobi of Sunshine, Osas Okoro of Rangers, Bature Yaro of Nassarawa utd, and others.

This midfield is a crack one.... I must say. It's funny to even think this midfield is "super enough" when there's a certain "Esosa Igbinoba" of Nassarawa utd, a top goal scoring Midfielder who's not here.

How can I forget Abdulrazak Aliyu of Enyimba who I read might miss the CHAN qualifiers this weekend.

Honestly, our CHAN midfield is good, really good. You all can take this "small" assessment to the bank.

What about our attack?

Hmmm..... Exciting players abound here..... Again another reason why Sir Jaypea98 "strongly believes" A mikel obi-led Super Eagles (oh sorry... An Ahmed Musa-led Super Eagles) will fall..... But I think not. BUT HIS ARGUMENT IS VERY GOOD AND CARRIES VERY VALID POINTS.

When u have the likes of Nigeria's balotelli, Gbolahan Salami (thank GOD, he didn't go Balo's way all the way....*smiles*), Ezekiel Bassey of Enyimba( I've been privileged to watch this guy play on TV thanks to SS9.... Boyyy!!! He's good... And can be better.... Called the Nigerian Hazard I believe?), Tunde Adeniji who starred for the Nigerian u-20s when they won the NPFL super six(exciting player), Prince Aggreh (like his twin attacker at sunshine... He's a super dangerman on his day), Chisom Chikatara of Abia Warriors (one quote for this guy, "floats around like a butterfly but stings like a bee"..... Yeah...he's that dangerous)... among others..... then who have you to fear in Africa? Even if u lose with this attack, at least you'll go into every game "highly" confident in an attack such as this.... #honestly

This is a crack CHAN Eagles squad and should they qualify (which I believe they'll do), they can go on and strike Gold at CHAN 2016.

But I still don't "think" The Super Eagles Foreign Pros best XI will go down to these guys. It would be a "big fight" but hey! Musa and co will triumph in my books.

So keep it going Sir Jaypea98..... Perhaps I can go ahead and "knight" you the "voice of the NPFL" on this Super Eagles thread....***BUT UNFORTUNATELY SIR, I DON'T THINK I'VE GROWN INTO SUCH POWERS YET........ LET THE OTHER ELDERS DO THAT... IF THEY SO CARE.... But it's my opinion. You ought to be "knighted" to that title".

**SMILES**

ADIOS..........*Back to backseat* **smiles**

Jaypea98:

Thank you.

I love the fact that you think throwing out stats that even my little niece knows gets u any points. First off this isn't a fight it is a debate don't work yourself up for nothing. I never said Salami wasn't a good player i said he isn't the best on his team. Fact Salami wasn't even part of the teams plans this year being that he was loaned to a club in Serbia. He has scored 15 goals already but did he score all alone? Don't you think it is testament to his midfield that he has scored so much? How can you honestly say in a team with the likes of Stanley Dimgba, Ossai Uche, Solomon Kwambe and Azubuike Egwuekwe that Salami tops the list. Then you say consistency with the national team and that to me is alarming since he has scored only 3 goals in 13 matches and I remember at least 2 of those goals....nothing special, a tap in against Congo in Calabar and a ball served on a China dish by Ighalo against Chad. Btw news flash the season is over at 5 points adrift the Warri wolves better watch out for Wikki Tourist who are only 2 points behind them. I claim no immense knowledge about anything including football. I am here to learn and interact about football buddy so back off. You just sound like a guy who goes around starting internet fights I no dey that one my guy carry go.

First Things first Salami wasn't loan or linked to any possible Move to serbia. Secondly Those Guys you. Mentioned are not among Wolves Top 6 players for the season. Salami Have 14 goals from fewer than 28 games in the NPFL this season. He scored 64% of wolves goals in the Caf Confederation Cup before our sad exist cry

Check ur facts home slice cuz im willing to bet my mother's last chickensmiley that Salami was loaned to Red Star Belgrade in Serbia and then came back because they didn't pay him. Facts are facts I didn't mean to disrespect your team but Wikki is infact trailing you guys by 2.

Maybe you should check back the only move that would have happened was to a Norwegian club but the deal failed cause the club couldn't afford salami
