Soya milk okay, but what type of cereal?
modath:

Since you can pinpoint when the poo drama began, just withdraw formula & let her go back to EBF, she might be lactose intolerant.

Try Soya milk with cereal for her from 4mths, if other commitments preclude EBF.

For babies with colic, it's advisable the mother avoid or reduce to the barest minimum, all diary products which includes milk. And this is just for a period of time, after 3months, colic tends to reduce in babies. After 2weeks of avoiding diary products, and if colic has'nt reduced, the mother can resume diary products back.

I discovered during mine that my baby's colic worsens if I take egg, coke, lacasera and beans.
It's just a suggestion.
Thank you

The coke, lacasera and beans points to excess gas. Milk is usually for those who are lactose-intolerant.

please mamas i have some questions to ask
1) How do/did you cope with midnight feeding of your LO? My DS keeps waking up in the night to feed, i want to wean him next month, how do i manage the night feeding?
2) can i give him biscuit? he is 9 months +

Cc Kimoni

My DS too wakes up like twice or thrice every night but I have a bottle of formula ready to give him cuz he stopped bf a long time ago. Each feeding process is usually about 5 -10 mins so it's bearable for me as I just tuck the bottle in his mouth. But what I also observe is that sometimes it's not really food he wants, he probably woke up due to some other reasons and needs only petting to get back to sleep. So before i feed him, I try to pet him back to sleep before introducing the bottle.

2)Sure, but avoid the one with lots of sugar and icing. Crackers work well for me.

Thanks dear, please one more question, do you prepare the formula when he wakes, or you prepare and keep?

No, I prepare it very hot before I go to bed. That's like 11pm or 12am. I use the big Tommie tipppee bottle and store in a handy food warmer or I wrap it in some very thick clothes, it's sometimes more effective than the warmer.

I usually prepare room temperature milk for the twins. (sometimes when I make d milk, they don't drink) plus they got used to it from rushing to make food for them.

But most times, I'm too tired to hold a baby and bottle. I just carry d baby, chook brest and sleep off. Or sleep without a top on. So they just find their way to the food source #lazyTiredMom

I prepare hot so it will be warm/cool by the time he's drinking it. He drinks it hours later, sometimes sef, early morning.

When you wean, night feeding will most likely reduce.

My baby used to wake up 4/5 times to feed, so at 10 months I started giving her cereal when she woke up. It was more stressful for me but it paid off because her waking up reduced to 2/3 times

At 11 months I stopped bfeeding completely and she started sleeping 12 straight hours

Sometimes it's the thought of the 'snack' that wakes them up, when they know there is nothing worth waking up for then they don't

And also bmilk may not be enough to hold them thru the night

Hello great great mama's, please come to my aid. I never in my widest dream thought I will be in this situation even when this has been discussed severally here. My baby just clocked 6months. She's been on Exculsive breastmilk. While on EBF, I usually express whenever I wasn't home and she was been bottle fed. Even when we go out, we bottlefeed her with breastmilk and there's been no issue. But recently I noticed each time we try to bottle feed her with the breastmilk, she rather plays with the bottle teet or useses it to scratch her gum. I didn't see that as abigdeal anyway cosshe still ends up drinking it though it takes longer. Now she's on Enfamil and it's been war. Initially she will play with the teet and drink and play again. But nowshe doesn't even want. The moment I bring the bottle to her mouth, she starts pulling back. Initially I tried spoon, she took it but now bothe spoon and bottle is war. I've tried the ready to feed Enfamil and the powdered Enfamil, im tired. Though it's been two days we started ds journey. My husband has also tried to feed her samle thing. Didn't know we will have this issue cos she took the breastmilk well with the bottle. And prior to now she usually tries to eat our food whenever we eat. She struggles with my hand and tries to bring it to her mouth . So I knew she was ready to start on solid.
Pls mama's, what do we do. I have similac too at home, shld I try that with her, maybe it's enfamil taste she doesn't like or continue to battle with her till she accpets the bottle. Thanks all

Your baby is ready for next stage of food. try any rice cereal or pap mixed with her formula. my dd also rejected formula at 6 months. Dont expect her to finish the new food at once oh. na small small then the quantity increases.
