Senate minority leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio has refuted claims that he was arrested by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission EFCC today as earlier reported....It was reported that Akpabio, was arrested and taken in by EFCC operatives at about 5.20 pm. He was said to have been accompanied a few aides and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Ricky Tarfa.

The senator posted on his official twitter handle few minutes ago saying he was not arrested and he has nothing to hide....See below
