On the contrary I think walcot is a better finisher than Giroud.
In essence Walcot is very efficient while Giroud is very effective.....the only problem is how to make up for thier deficiencies....but on average I'd prefer Walcot to Giroud.
well said....giroud is useful wen we tried and no goal , den giroud can come

wenger has to learn how to manage them. Giroud is on 4 epl goals and walcot on 2 epl goals

He also has a better positional awareness and gives us presence.

Did you notice how his movement off the ball created the space and chance for Ramsey's goal? That's to me more important than all those thoughtless speedometers.
summarily, they're just 2 different CF with different styles of play

Cech

Bellerin. Gabriel Kocielny Monreal

Carzola. Coquelin

Ramsey. Ozil. Sanchez

Walcott
I still don't like Ramsey on the right. IMO it weakens the right side. If not for Bellerin quality that wing will be totally lost. I prefer a fast winger like OX. Ramsey is much more effective in the centre

Do u know players like özil especially gets frustrated wen giving giroud pass nd mis fire.... Dats y we are under pressure
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by slimkhan(m): 6:47pm On Oct 18, 2015
my opinion of do game yesterday MY ANALYSIS OF THE GAME! Cech; he was almost faultless, almost made a mistake when he came out to clear the ball. But he did well and commanded well his box. BELLERIN; Most creative player in Europe so far with 2 clear-cut chances created and one assist today. MARTESACKER;Gabriel's here to replace him,he wasn't too bad but i think whenever he plays,Koscielny always have to do most of the dirty works... KOSCIELNY;Was faultless although he made a few mistakes he kept Ighalo quiet,he's one of the world's best in his position. MONREAL;Absoloutely outstanding! Attacked and defended well. COQUELIN;His passes are getting better, but he should avoid attempting more dribbles his position is very important and a single mistake can kill off the game. CAZORLA; MAGICIAN! Does he ever feel pressurized? Best midfielder i've seen in years! OZIL; Typical Ozil with oustanding creativity, he is always at his best when the team is attacking...He was zero in the first half but sprung to life in the second after Watford chose to attack a little more thereby finding him more space in the middle. ALEXIS;Best player we've had since henry! WALCOTT;Today wasn't his day! He's more effecient against an attacking team not a team that seat back like Watford did on the first half. RAMSEY;Played well! Although he needs to avoid overdoing things and making his game too predictable around the box.. GIROUD;Always been a super sub,i was expecting AW to throw him in asap and he did. CHAMBERLAIN; Did well but he could have created a scoring chance only if he had not prefer running to passing.lol. ARTETA;Couldn't influence an already won game but played a pass i would like to watch how he positioned his foot!

Giroud also has better finishing than Walcott. But when it comes to one on one situations, I'd prefer Walcott jeje.

Giroud lacks both pace n ideas in this situation
That's not even his game.

While Walcott prefers to run into spaces, Giroud would rather create pockets by holding up the ball and allowing others into positions.

Both patterns are ok depending on the situations. If the opponents are defensive then Giroud is preferred; but if they are offensive as against Man Utd, then Walcott is preferred.

only that Giroud really dipped in form other than that he beats TW14 in the CF position

If you noticed, Ramsey's inclusion is a tactical one. He actually is not a winger but something like a false RW. His job is to make slippery diagonal runs to open up defenses and add pressure to attack while the same time joining the centre midfielders when we are defending.

The key really to this pattern as someone rightly pointed out is Bellerin. The guy is both the RB and the RW, so as Ramsey does his runs on and off the right wing, Bellerin runs down the entire flank.

The summary is that it gives your opponent the feeling that you have more than 11 men on the pitch. cheesycheesy

But despite that he tops Walcott on goals scored. That in itself is a huge statement. Don't be supprised if he starts against Bayern.

Meanwhile,...
...have you noticed that Ramsey often copies Cazorla's moves. Once Cazorla attempts a trick Ramsey would want to try his own.

You know, right leg-left leg-turn around- cut back-pass.

I don't know why I have this feeling AW would rest Alexis on Tuesday. Either way, I really don't care. I just need Sanchez to be fit all season

I concur sha.

Checking their stats prove this. Giroud is more wasteful. But I think both strikers play different styles. Depending on the type of opposition, both can be very lethal.

There is no confusion, those of us who still believe in Giroud are few that's the point.

That doesn't mean he should not be benched when he loses form or when a different approach is required.

dat y I said Walcott suit our style more Dan giroud....we only need giroud wen d opponents are difficult to break....
2 big matches Walcott won for us: against chelshit at community shield, d counter attack was led by Walcott nd sighted ox, giroud would av delayed d ball nd allow azi to close up wit ox
Against manure: Walcott can score d ball he gave özil , he could av risk it though...either way he passed d ball
Walcott presence threaten defense

I prefer Walcoot most times except against teams that sit back, his speeds doesnt allow defenders move to midfeild to attack us,he also can quickly pass the ball for fast counter and lastly has eye for goals and finishes better..

Giroud on the contrary is the best super sub we have, his physical prescence and abilty to head away arieal balls in our box makes him vital.

Walcott and Giroudhuh....both should be starting different games though. Walcott for attacking-minded teams, giroud for defensive minded teams. But walcott as 1st choice all day. Giroud super-sub all day
