The All Progressives Youth Forum, APYF, under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has demanded that the embattled former Governor of Rivers State and ministerial nominee Rotimi Amaechi be given accelerated screening and confirmation by the Senate and referred to corruption charges against him as mere political “obstructionism.”

The forum in a statement signed by its Chairman, Ismaeel Ahmed cleared Amaechi of any corrupt activities and subtlety confirmed him as a “saint” adding that the Senate should institute an accelerated process in his confirmation as a Minister.

“The All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF) commends the strides and performances of the Ministerial nominees sent in by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Senate confirmation Hearings.

“While acknowledging the constitutional right and independence of the parliament to conduct such hearings uninterrupted by anyone or anything, it behooves on us to call on them to do so without recourse to personal vendetta or partisan obstructionism.”

Amaechi’s confirmation by President Muhammadu Buhari has continued to generate ripples from the Senate over corruption allegations during his tenure as Rivers Governor.

His screening process has been postponed twice over the inability of the Senate Committee on Ethics Privileges and Public Petitions to submit its report.
In reaction, the forum insisted that Amaechi should be confirmed as a Minister on the basis of his financial contribution towards the success of the APC during the presidential election.

What you people don't understand is that, if the money accused Amaechi of stealing, is the same one they also claimed he spent on Buhari's campaign, then fair.

I mean, the money was well spent for the betterment of Nigeria and Nigerians.
At least he didnt use it to enrich himself.
