Anyway to your question, we all know how intolerant, fanatical, sheepish, violence tendency, social discrimination the society possess for people who identify to not adhere to the religion of the society talk more of agreeing not to believe in personal Gods.

This is Africa, we know the idiotic moral skyscraper this chauvinistic society places the women which sometime even feels and takes a misogynistic tilt.

So i think are the deciding factors in the not so open display of their atheistic stance in a society as sheepish, sadly ignorant, discriminative, chauvinistic, superstitious and violence prone like ours.

There are many of such brave girls though i know quite a lot..

Not just the girls even others, people tend to be secretive of their stance because this society poses a serious threat for someone with much drastic ideology. .

But their are more atheists/agnostics in Nigeria than we may guess..

Women are generally more religious than men, if you go to churches or prayer houses, you'll see it for yourself. When a couple can't have children, the women spend time running from one spiritual help to another, most men don't bother about it. However there are a few on here, I can't remember their monikers but I am here and I know of freecocoa. There's a mz-something too.
