You have 3-5days to get to came from the day it opens...so if this days doesn't exceed 1st November,you can still enter camp.

1. Your posting letter with photocopies
2. Certificate or statement of result with copies
3. passport photographs
4. Your school id
5. Go with a copy of your O level result incase you don't have all grades off hand(you will need it during filling of forms)...

Those are the major documents needed.

pls help my date of birth (just the day) was incorrect on the green card. the other info are correct.
that is, day of birth in my waec certificate is 3rd, but in the green card it was mistaken for 1st.

pls what should I do? and will this affect me at the camp screening?

secondly, wat kind of provisions should one go with? some are saying milk n milo n cereals (i dislike cereals )

wat other kind of provisions should we go with?

I suggest you save your transport....You can't enter without your statement of result or your degree certificate.

Daily activités start at 5am with Physical Training - a typical day is Physical training, to showers, breakfast, marching, lunch, marching, dinner, lights out.

food time is your break time. It is possible, I guess but you have to be somewhere during activities time and if the soldiers find out anywhere else or in mamma market when it is activity time, you will be punished.

so basically you won't go 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, 1st... 5 days after camp starts...when swearing in happens that week?...might as well wait till the next batch and as my good friend Smeeky would say "save your transport money"

OK miss Estelle, because you are the 500th postee, I shall pay particular attention to your inquiry.

Why?....Cos I'm just nice and random like that! Ok where were we..

Be advised that the only difference being married makes when it comes to NYSC is being posted to your husband's domiciled state. Other than that, you are the same as everyone else. Yes...no special treatment, no special preps...no special considerations.

So whenever everyone starts making preparation for their PPA, that's when you ought to start your own preps (even though I didn't quite understand what you mean by "preparation" )

It is advisable to go to your PPA straight after camp to register and sort out everything with them. Once that is sorted, your PPA will tell you when they want you to resume work. For my PPA, they kept asking me to come back...every week to collect my letter of assignment (to a particular dept)...travelling from Lekki to Ikeja every day was not beans ooo...so i quickly made friends with people in that particular office and asked them to call me when my letter was ready. And they did. But I ended up chilling at home for about 3-4 weeks or so before actually starting (from camp end)...bearing in mind I wasn't just sat at home...I had to sort out bank accounts, etc.

NYSC gives you about 'one month' grace to sort things out with your PPA. They know half of the people will probably be rejected from their PPA so they try to give you enough time to sort things out, get posted to a new papa, etc...And goodnews, they actually pay you for that time you are 'sorting out' your ppa so you get back for doing nothing really... so take things easy...if you really like where you are posted to (like the ministry), go straight to there after camp...if you don't like where you are posted to, go there after a few days (especially if a lot of people have been posted there) and you are likely to be rejected. Then get them to repost you or go to nysc secretariat with a letter of request (from your desired ppa) and them to post you there.
(Basilona...this might help you...dont come and ask me again oooo...and if you 'know someone' in camp, go with the letter to camp, if you don't know anyone, join an influential group or OYO is your case - Oh...dont know ask which groups are the influential ones cos its been listed like a million times already ).

I just got married after I have already registered online for the NYSC. One of the 3 options I choose was my husband's state. If I take my marriage certificate to camp, will be posted to my husband's state? Or is there a new thread concerning auto redeployment? Thanks.
