Are you sure you read any of Dayo's comments leading to today's mutilation? He succinctly gave credence to the better competition Arsenal would provide by making excuses about his injured minions, Dayo in his heart knew Arsenal were a better team before the game and the result confirmed his fears..

Before the match, I compared Arsenal's midfield with Bayern's, and came to the conclusion that we had better midfielders than them.

Once we handled their two main threats Lewandowski and Muller, I knew we would come on top.

I was surprised that Mertesacker was able to handle the threat of Muller, I wasn't surprised that Bosscielny pocketed Lewandowski and Bellerin was able to handle the pace and
trickery of Douglas Costa.

In Cech we had an equal match to Neuer who made superb saves to keep his team in the game.

Those were the key battles that decided the match. With Lewandowski emasculated, Bayern was too pedestrian.

Every player has his own style, the good ones learn to master theirs.

Per may be a slow dullard, but he has good match reading skills and a certain calmness most defenders lack. Being able to master those and use them effectively to his advantage makes him ever relevant.

His yellow card versus Watford is a simple typical example- he missed his man, saw that the guy was about to sprint away, gently fouls him, pick his card, gives Coquelin a high five, and all is well.

You have a point. I guess I underestimated Mertesacker, he had a good game today, he made me eat my words.

Do you deserve to top the group, I don't think so, because after losing to dinamo zagreb and olympiakos u beat bayern munich@home and you're just shouting we can top the league.
Be realistic, Bayern munich will top the league(Take that to the Bank) the best finish for arsenal is 2nd.
Enjoy your victory but don't let that get into your head and be deluded man.

Now that the Watford match is done and dusted with three points in our bag and an improving goal difference that might yet prove crucial, and another Cech clean sheet, it's time we move on to the next challenge.

I see no reason we can't beat Bayern Munich.
They are good but certainly not extraordinary.

A good team selection ,proper tactics, and good TIMELY substitutions when needed plus tactical flexibility as the match unfolds should get the job done.

Their midefieders( Thiago-Alonso-Lahm/ Martinez) are certainly not better than Ozil-Carzola- Coquelin.

Douglas Costa is nowhere close to Sanchez level. We have no answer for Muller and Lewandowski, but I want to believe that a central defense pair of Kocielny and Paulista can neutralize them with 90mins of hardworking and composed defending.

Any advantage Neuer brings to them is easily "Cechmated" by Cech.

Wenger must start Paulista and Kocielny for that match, in addition to Cech staying between the sticks.

If I see Mertesacker and/or Ospina in the starting eleven, then I Will be sure that Wenger has no intentions of winning the match.

This was my pre match analysis of the Bayern match, after our Watford match.

Everything remaining equal, I don't expect any different outcome in Allianz Arena.
