Do u know that by adding distilled water to ur battery ,will make ur battery perfom better and last longer? I mean distilled water and not tap water or bottled table water or well water, one of my batteries used to malfunction, but after adding distilled water to it, its now ok and performing better,

do not add tap water or bottled table water or well water to it, they contain chemicals that will damage ur battery, I don't know if u one can get distilled water in nigerian stores ,but in Europe and US ,u can actually walk into a store and buy one, u can also use water dropping out from an airconditioner

I'm very curious to find out how you add distilled water in a supposedly sealed maintenance free batteries.

Enlightened me if it's not such a bother

He said 25k, but u need to call him and negotiate with him , I don't think 25k is his final price, or u can go to his shop at oshodi to inspect, he also has 100ah deepcycle batteries but not full river product

There's this six round covers on top of batteries, open all round cvers with a safety pin, u will see another rubber cover in each of those six holes, carefully remove the rubbers and add distilled water in each of the battery holes, do not fill distilled water it to the top ,just make sure the water is atleast above the plates inside the battery, when u are done , cover the with rubbers and also with the round top cover , now charge the battery with an automatic battery charcer, don't take it to battery chargers, their charger will damage ur battery, use ur inverter battery charger or an automatic battery charger (check page 1 and 2)
U can google the internet on how to make distilled water, there are different ways but this my portable indoor ac na him easy for me pass, another method is rain water and another method is by boiling water and putting a glass bowl in the water u are boiling bla bla bla....this method na long story, for more info pls ask google on how to make distilled water

Yes u can block the sound and make the beeping sound lesser by covering the top of that beeper with paper tape or as we dey call am black cellotape or u can remover the top cover of the beeper and the sound will stop , like I said before, my own ups will only beep 17 times when u put it on and then stop beeping until ur battery is weak, then it starts beeping again ,that's when I know my battery is weak and I switch off my TV and then the ups, some ups will beep continuously, so if u are getting a ups , make sure u buy my type, mine is the latest model bluegate , I think the latest model mecury too does same, just make sure they put it on and u make sure it beeps 17 times and then stops beeping , but leave am if e just dey beep till eternity ,
The beeper is doing a good job by notifying u when ur battery Is weak ,so u know when to shut down, no allow ur battery die all the time like dat on ur ups or else u go dey buy new battery all the time.

All you people intimidating me with electrical and electronics just remember there is God ooooo. I've read the whole thread but I just can't figure all dox years of WAEC physics any longer Cox biochemistry took them away. Lols
Oga ceejay you try well, this is my question
If I'm to get a 200aH battery, what are the other things needed and their cost implications? What will be it's output power? How long will it take to charge? Thanks

All u need is a 650ups and a smart charger, the battery seller has 200 and 175ah fullriver battery, he said his 200ah is 25k and 175ah is 28k, I believe the 175ah is more expensive because its very slim, the smart charger is 7k and u can get a used working 650ups for 1500naira, charging a 200ah battery shouldn't take more than 3-4hr because the smart charger has settings for 40ah battery and bellow,80ah-100ah and 120ah-200ah settings, just don't overload it ,u will definitely enjoy it

its best to charge your batteries at the lowest amp possible (anywhere between 10-15 amps max) . . charging a 200aH battery to full status in 4 hours is "quick charge" (ie. 50 A per hr) which should only be used for emergencies . . . else, your batteries would be toast under 1yr

It's like I'll go and enrol for electrical class again ooo. But how com we have turbo charging in mobile phone chargers? Or they are different scenarios

batteries for Mobile phone are Li-on ( or Lithium-ion ) classified while car batteries or deep-cycle batts. are
Lead-acid batteries made from Lead and seperated plates of Lead-dioxide in 32% sulfuric acid and 62% water
as u can see , these kinds of batteries deserve extra care . . . as they are very harmful, they can electrocute you
and the acid is very corrosive . . . in contrast to mobile phone batteries

More reading:
We generally do not recommend fast chargers for the following reasons:

Fast charging of the batteries does not do the battery much good and will reduce the overall life of the battery as well as the number of cycles that the battery can be charged.

If you refer to the article called How to get the best performance out of a rechargeable battery it mentions that batteries need to be charged and discharged around 3-5 times for them to be at their best. The chemicals within the battery need to completely mix so that the battery performs at it's optimum level. The rapid fast charging will shorten the overall performance and life of the battery, as they do not like harsh discharging or heat.

Wherever possible we would suggest using a smart or intelligent charger with an inbuilt microprocessor as this will ensure that the battery is being charged at a suitable rate with no compromise on performance or life span.

The advantage of a fast charger is primarily that the charge time is significantly shorter than a standard charge. This may suit certain professions or individuals who may need a quick turn around on their batteries.]

Yes u are right but it depends on how long u have used the battery, after fully charged, if u have powered ur appliance for e.g 1hr, u might probably need to charge the battery for 1hr+ or less to get fully charged again, My smart charger is 20amp, I have seen 30amp and 50amp charger.
Check the photo below , my smart charger is 20amp but there's setting for 40ah and below batteries, there's 80-100ah settings and there's 120ah and above settings,
E.g-- if u have a 40ah battery, all u need to do is turn the settings down to 40ah, check the pic below, then u will understand, u can use a 20amp or 30amp charger , try and google it, even the oyibo whites use 30amp with no problem, just make sure its a smart charger and not a locally made ones

I understand, but let it be known that since u rock an intelli-charger ,. once u turn the knob to the battery type, it's no longer fast-charge..
cos i believe ur smart charges goes through 3/4 - phase charging . . 4 i think . . if i am not mistaken
