I guess you must be Yoruba ? Because anything makes a delicacy to you people out of your very bad and poor cooking kitchen prowess.

I like this too but I prefer the ashamed kenkey. The one suitable for some chilled ice kenkey.

Re: Various Ghanaian Dishes by murmee: 10:37am On Oct 06, 2015
Ghanaians should please come to any part of Nigeria and see real food. Apart from the okro soup, all other soups in those photographs makes me want to vomit. Very disgusting looking soups!

I used to sneak out of boarding house once in a blue moon to buy Donkunu (kenkey), with fried pepper, fresh pepper, fresh onions and fried fish. Too delicious!! I wish I could see where to eat it now. That food doesn't get old.

I've also eaten Banku and light soup on a few occasions, love it! love it!! Years ago though.

Then I was in Ghana one time on a school trip and when some were feeling fly and only wanted to eat at "Chicken on the run", I and a few others got a cool joint (called African Pot, I think), where we got these earthen ware pots filled to the brim with food/soup. I ended up licking the soup without finishing the dish, as much as the soup was. Loooool. Yum! Yum!!

I'm a foodie but I like straightforward meals. As in food and the accompanying sauce.

My problem is meat. I wil run away from anything out of the ordinary. Ive only eaten snail on a very few occasions. You can't catch me near shrimps, crabs, prawns, lobsters, sharks and any kind of 'strange' fish/meat.

I can't suffer hunger anywhere, I believe. Maybe only in China. But then there's noodles and bamboo shoot meals!! Looooool.

Snails are kind of not my thing. I think Ive eaten snail at most trice in my life. There are a lot of things people ask me to try out and then I just cook but can't eat it.

Ghana fufu and palmnut/groundnut soup is the best "swallow" I have ever had in my life. And believe me, I have had various soups from different part of my beloved Nigeria. Please who has a glue of where I can buy banku or ghana fufu in Naija.

Re: Various Ghanaian Dishes by Captainswag225(m): 5:58pm On Oct 22, 2015
forgiveness:
grin Let me see tongue

I don chop 1,2,3,4,5 and 9. grin tongue

I no try s a naiji man!

It was't easy the first time i ate Ghanian food. Infact, i refused to eat their foods at first sight.

Swallowing kenkey with tomatoes and raw pepper made my eyes turned red. o boy! the only saving grace then was the fried fish.

But now grin grin

so now u are the king of kenkey ryt? I noticed that most Nigerians don't like hot pepper.
