superstar1:Lmfao, same useless claims without concrete back up. Ironsi saved the country from over ambitious young officers which included ppl from East, Midwest and Western regions. subsequent military govts used unitary system and i dont problem with that but the era of military is gone, they gave us unitary system and it should be abolish in a civilian govt |

basilo101:One yoruba out of many igbos? Why was it that it was only the igbo officers that were trigger happy? Tell us one person killed by the yoruba man. Just one. |

superstar1:Igbo coup led by an anioma man. The same people you guys claim are not Igbos. The list of the the coup plotter show some people from middle belt and southwest but it's still called an Igbo coup. The counter coup was led by Igbos but it still called an Igbo coup. Igbo civilians were massacred in the fake counter coup but no civilian group or tribe were massacred in the 7 other coups that followed. Aburi accord which simply tried to bring back back regional system was accepted by ojukwu but rejected by Nigeria. This rejection led to the war. |

Y basilo101:Those were well documented facts. You had the opportunity to vote for regionalism during the last confab and by the record in the history, SE and other regions refused to vote for regionalism, except SW. |

superstar1:Are you going about deceiving yourself again?.I believe I once lessoned you about that. That it was actually elements of the Southwestern delegation, viz Lagos and Ondo delegates, that opposed regionalism, the Southeast pushing hard for it while also coming up with a Plan B,like any reasonable delegation that have done their homework well. The Southwest delegation were in virtual disarray after Lagos and Ondo, for their own reasons, chose not to tow the line. Go check your past posts and your old Superstar moniker, even you agreed it was a lesson well learnt then. |

NAIJASOM:What is my business about who is Igbo or who is not. If igbos are claiming aniomas and they agree that they are, what is anybody's business? Sort yourselves out with Aniomas. What is the ratio of the officers of other ethnicities that took part in the coup, in comparison with Igbo ethnicity? What is the number of the victims of the coup that are of different ethnicities, in comparison with the people that were igbos and were also victims? Who was the eventual beneficiary of the coup? An igbo man. If you can answer that, you can see the reason why it is an Igbo coup. |

What is my business about who is Igbo or who is not. If igbos are claiming aniomas and they agree that they are, what is anybody's business? Sort yourselves out with Aniomas. So if it was an ikwere general you and your folks would call it an ikwere coup? What is the ratio of the officers of other ethnicities that took part in the coup, in comparison with Igbo ethnicity? So now you are doing mathematics just to justify your blind hatred. What percentage of non-Igbo involvement will qualify to make it not an Igbo coup? What is the number of the victims of the coup that are of different ethnicities, in comparison with the people that were igbos and were also victims? The people killed were all politicians, not civilians. The counter coup also by Igbo officers prevented the coup from executing its full agenda which also included the eastern politicians. Also do you think that the non-Igbo officers in the coup would agree to join the coup if it was only the leaders from their group that would be killed? Who was the eventual beneficiary of the coup? An igbo man. Simply by default. He was the highest ranking officer and if you watch the video, you will see he was very uncomfortable with that role |

| Re: Nigeria Need Restructuring, 5 Countries Under Confederation Like UK by superstar1(m): 3:35pm On Oct 23, 2015 |
basilo101:For the singular reason that you had more officers in the army,it is given that more of the igbos would have taken part in the coup. Beautiful. By extension, if more Igbo officers took part in the coup than the cumulative sum of officers of other ethnic extraction, that makes it automatically am Igbo coup. Shikena. The beneficiary of the coup was also an Igbo man. How come other ethnicities had more casualties, both the civilians and military officers, killed in comparison with that of the Igbos that only lost 1 person, whose killing was even based on vendetta. |

superstar1:And u were the DJ in the party abi Lol.There were sent to eastern prisons to avoid more bloodshed, That was what Ironsi always wanted for Nigeria, Avoidance of bloodshed... Which later led to his death alongside fajuyi. Ironsi always trusted his northern brothers, He got info about d counter coup n he didn't want to run, rather he stayed back trying to make to make sure there's a clean transition n his northern brothers tricked n killed him. |

Dhugal:Eediot, back that claim up there with reputable proof! www.theunion.com.ng/politics/why-regionalism-state-police-agitation-failed/ See the article above and tell me it wasn't your kins men that rejected federalism! Yeye people If you mention Ondo again in your stupid fabricated propaganda, na fire go lynch you! You were probably deaf when Mimiko recently mentioned that true federalism is the best way forward during Gani Fawehinmi memorial ceremony! Better keep Ondo off your lying tongue, else... |

| Re: Nigeria Need Restructuring, 5 Countries Under Confederation Like UK by kingzizzy: 3:41pm On Oct 23, 2015 |
superstar1:Your problem is that you dont know the difference between unification and unitary. All 4 regions were in place with federal fiscal policy and resource control. The only thing that was missing was political control which is not possible under military rule. It was Gowon that came in, abolished the regions, created States, took away resource control and fiscal policy. Yet you keep jumping about different threads saying it was Ironsi. Why didn't you ask Gowon why he did not keep to the confederation he and Ojukwu signed in Ghana? He couldn't keep it because it prevented him and his fellow Notherners from implementing their 'divide and rule' agender. It is not keeping to the confederal agreement by Gowon that directly led to the declaration of Biafra by Ojukwu. Yorubas and Northerners have ruled Nigeria for almost 50 yeas out of 55, why haven't they brought back regionalsm in all that time? Let's not fool ourselves here. Unitary rule rewards the parasites up in the north handsomely and they will never let it go. Regionalism or confederalism will not only drastically reduce the political power of the North, it will also greatly reduce their federal Government subventions as well because of resource control. Therefore, they will never agree to a confederation or regionalism. The North is most likely going to fight a war than let this happen. Anyone hoping for regionalism or resource control in Nigeria is wasting their time. The only solution is Biafra or Niger-Delta Republic |
