These days owning a phone is not as expensive as it used to be coupled with airtime borrowing and bonuses offered by network providers

Decrease or extinction? There's no call center again. Why would I want to pay #20 to make call when I can use #5 or less to pass information thanks to Etisalat 20kobo/second tarriff.

Calls r cheaper now and more people have phones so why call form a call centre when I can buy 100 credit n use my phone.
Same with internet cafés.

I doubt if browsing will lead me to cafe unless I want to print it which is often rare infact they won't survive if they depend on me.

CNT even remember the last time I purchased recharge card from a vendor nt to talk of making a call from a call centre,.. Gtb makes getting airtym easy nw,,.. And those cafe people,, the only ones that survive are those who can have a cheat to do business with... Times are really changing

Who dares call in a public place anymore when mtn zone dey, when mtn jara dey, when family and friends dey, where airtel free airtime dey, etc... and plus when some people don sabi how to summarize conversation on top call. No time to dey find business centre again.

in fact, I'm waiting for when recharge card sellers will also be no more. Now that we recharge straight from bank account. That day will still come, may be a long time from now tho.

Voice is now commoditized, data is what is making waves now in the telco biz...

So shall happen with the approval of 35 Car Assembly Plants to operate in Naija... a goodbye to tokumbo cars!

that's no true. although a significant improvement in the use of smarphones for chatting thanks to tecno mobile for bringing affordable mobile devices to Nigerians , there are still more persons making voice calls. Haven't wonder why these operators still give freebies on voice calls? or u wan tell me na all village pipo dey browse or chat?

it's not as if he didn't noticed it, he just brought it to refresh our memory on how we queue to make or receive calls.
The next evolution will be data remember data subscription was about N3,000 for 100 mb but now it has fallen to about 1g for N1,0000 and will continue to fall till it gets to 1g for N100. By then visiting of cyber cafe will reduce drastically but will only mean if the cost of laptops falls because it's still expensive.
Another phase will be video and conference calling .The likes of infinix, gionee e.t.c might not be in existence but new and affordable device will come in. Remember the life cycle of Sagem, bird, Philip e.t.c
