I don't about you guys in the south but here in Kaduna where I stay the hardship is too much, every is suffering because of lack of money.. Civil servants with pot belly prior to this administration have all gone flat tommy, both the rich and poor are crying, where the all the money gone yet we keep hearing that they are recovering money from corrupt past government officials but still yet the situation is getting worst.. Yesterday I was in Kaduna central market, this is a very busy market and it use to be very crowdy but to my surprise it was very scanty you can even play football on the street of the market.. All the market people where lamenting lack of market, I even spotted of them sleeping in their shops.. The situation out here is bad!!!!!!!.. I was complaining to some elderly people about the hardship in the country they were telling that this was the same situation that happened in the 80s that buhari ruled. How they suffered and their businesses collapsed and that's why they were warning the youth about voting buhari in power again but the youths were carried away by the mantra of change..
I know the last adminstration were very corrupt but atleast money was in circulation and there was not much suffering like this, imagine some people are even selling their properties just to meet up with their wants.. Abeg the government of buhari should forget about petty issues of amaechi, saraki and others, its distracting the governance of this nation, let them face the issue of the economy and security that's what we voted them for

The air of prosperity that pervaded the whole Abuja during Jonathan's administration is being sorely missed now. Money was in circulation and flowed down to the shoe cobbler, taxi driver, and bricklayer in the street. I certainly benefitted as there was always someone willing to pay handsomely for my services. From one project to the other; the formal and informal sectors of the Abuja economy experienced a boom.

These days everywhere is as dry as the Sahara desert. Same story of 'no money' everywhere, and it's only a mater of time before millions of frustrated residents march to Aso Rock to do the needful.

Funny thing Is some people are making more money than they ever imagined. The creative Nigerians are smiling for sure

The effect of fallen oil price. Buhari took over in the 80s at the era of falling oil price and the same scenario has repeated itself this era. Nigeria wasted 9 years of oil boom on non-strategic projects and was not able to develop other sectors that would have served as alternative foreign exchange earner. We are lucky a prudent man is steering our ship at the moment.

Nigerians are dullards. World oil price,Nigeria's main export has crashed so what do you expect. Without buhari in power things would have been much worse.DULLARD NATION.

Things are rough but what were they expecting? After the previous govt wasted the entire period when oil was at an all time record high? Even Okonjo Iweala already warned us

I also heard Abujites aren't experiencing the best of financial times.
But what else do you expect ?
Abuja economy "used to" run on the fuel of corruption..but no more.
Decreased govt spending is also a factor.
Its no longer 'El dorado' over there.

Business owners in Abuja need to get creative, innovation and creativity are the only thing that can pull them out of this slump.

The days careless of spending by senators, HOR, ministers and their wives are now officially over.

But please take your time and search the success stories on nairaland and that may convince you. Linda Ikeji just recently bought a mansion in a choice area. A woman not too long ago built herself a mansion in her village from selling road side corn. Some of our artists are doing incredibly well in the music industry. All happening amidst the economic downturn. I need not say more

This is a government of leadership by example. We should all learn to slim fit like our dear PMB and able VP. Follow the body language.
