First I want to clear all misconceptions about igbos being marginalized and I want u people to be the judge, despite how stubborn, we igbos have prooved the Nigerian state has still managed to accommodate us, check the following facts out;
(1) The civil war ended by 1970 in less than 10years an igbo man was able to ascend to tye federal level back then in the person of Alex Ekwueme and become the vice president with Shehu Shagari as president.

(3) If we igbos have some setbacks in political positions its because of some wrong political calculations we made that landed us here, e.g it was obvious Gej was a failure but instead of us to shift grounds while there was time we instead preferred to go down with him, even so much as becoming more of the supporter than even his southsouth region at our own detriment, even till now the Ijaws has moved on, but we igbos still bear a grudge that I dont know where its coming from in heart and this actions are making us loose out big time.

I find this quite hypocritical. I like the Igbos because they face reality unlike yorubas who pretend like all is well whereas they are the worst hit with bad governance, poverty and disease. I make bold to say that apart from Lagos which I often consider as a general entity for Nigerians the rest of yoruba land is worse than stone age and should be demolished to the ground so that decent development can ensue. Truth be told SE is faring far better than the SW in good governance because almost all the yoruba state had gone broke and sought for bailout. Like I said on the other thread if I have not seen the pictures of the regional capital of yoruba people I would have fallen for their propaganda. The truth be told I have been to SE most of their rural areas are by far more decently developed than ibadan that is filled with mud houses and rustic roofs. The cities of SE are more or less like comparing orange and apple because SE cities are equally by far more developed than the slums called yoruba cities. You will realise that its only in the West that government changes hand like its done in developed countries, apart from lagos, everyother state in the West has experienced both the PDP and APC(AD, AC, ACN) and can proudly tell you which government is better.

I have finally accepted that we are not one and will never be. I have a higher chance of being killed in Nigeria by a fellow country man than outside the country. My sister had problems with her supervisor who was a Yoruba man. But I never had a problem with my own supervisor who was a Hausa man.

I'm Yoruba and I painfully agree to some of the things said by the Op. When it comes to being your brother's keeper, most Yorubas are lacking in that regards. My mum told me of an experience she had when her car got stuck in mud. It was the Yoruba guys that told her to pass that area that the road is not that bad. When she did and got stuck, they demanded to push out the car for a fee. She got angry and told them that rather than pay them, she would look for other people to push out the car and pay them. While she was still tongue-lashing them, two Igbo (not sure of their tribe sha) guys came out from their shop and helped her push out the car. She offered them money and they declined. She felt so ashamed for her people, I also felt ashamed. I won't say my people are evil tho. Evil knows no tribe or religion.

Am Yoruba and you can confirm from my previous comments. I agree with the OP on the point that we don't help ourselves. Even while I was in the UK, I could notice the trend among Yorubas. Indians, Jamaicans, Ghanaians help their brothers and sisters to come to the UK and help them get papers but We Yorubas even report our fellow brothers to the Home office, we don't accommodate our family members new in a foreign country for more than 6 months. WhIle in Nigeria I met with a lot of family friends who had companies but they kept on promising on helping me secure a job. Majority not all like to see you down and want you to keep begging them for money than helping you stand on your own. Igbos on the otherhand setup their brothers to stand on their own.

I'm not Igbo. I'm just knowledgeable of their achievements. Read below...Igbos have led in every achievement ahead of the Yorubas up until the civil war. Yorubas only got ahead after the war when the Igbos lost everything and seriously damaged by the war...that was the only way yorubas could get ahead. I being a core Imo State man is not part of their Biafra but what you wrote up there about Ojukwu and civil war is wrong. Many Igbos have misinterpreted Ojukwu's action based on modified history.

If Igbos were not killed across Nigeria, there would never Have been a Biafra. Ojukwu declared the then Eastern region as Biafra to serve as a safe zone for Igbos who were running from other parts of Nigeria.

Things are being done the right way for the 1st time. Our institutions like EFCC, DSS, Army etc. have started functioning again. Power has improved greatly and petrol is now being sold the same price in Imo, Lagos and Abuja. Before Buhari Imolites never bought fuel at PPPR approved rate except through long queues at NNPC Station. This has happened in 4 months. I will make my first real assessment after 2 years. However for now I'm highly satisfied.

Ojukwu tried many times to avoid dis war, He called for aburi accord, He called gowon for meetings several times to discuss how to end d problem...

Imagine for 10 months Yorubas were been killed daily in nigeria, what would u have done

This should be moved to the front page so that the stand of Imo State people should be known. Imo State suffered the highest casualty in the Biafran war and till today still has the most number of pro-Biafra communities but this latest Biafra has put us off because it has political undertone and consists mostly of PDP supporters who are minority in Imo State. I will be proved right once again when these people are attacked by Imo citizens in support of APC should they attempt to disrupt businesses.

Statements like this are the reason Anambra (and perhaps Enugu) just might be on their own in the quest for their own country. You'll be hard-pressed to find an Igbo man from any other state arguing about superiority unprovoked (usually by people from a certain axis).
I don't care which southern country we join - Niger Delta, Cameroon whatever, as long as we aren't part of a dysfunctional country where religious war is imminent and the least contributors believe they have the birthright of leadership.
Nnamdi Kanu better check that he has the support of other Igbo states before embarking on what might be a futile endeavour. It is not a given that all Igbo groups are in support of secession at this time or led by him.
