Set of twins from one family sometimes marry set of twins from another family...don't they. So what is the difference? @ ebner70, do whatever makes you happy. That union might be complicated though especially when arguments/disagreements happen. You have to be wise. |

ebner70:Firstly she's not your sister in law, her brother is your brother in law however. Yes you are within your rights to marry her. No incest or taboo. |

Apart from religion and culture sef. The 2 marriages are prone to scatter-strophe. Bcus after having ur hubby and wife bedroom meeting, there will be another unavoidable brother and sister family meeting where ur bedroom meeting secrets will be scrutinized and discussion of what the other family might be planning. My dear that's politics with no impeachment. U go regret say u enter am. |

Why is this an issue! You love her, she loves you, get married by all means sister in-law or not. |

Some cultures permit it. I think some parts of igbo are more flexible in this regard, but for a lot other tribes, its a big No-No. In urhoboland, you can't even think of it sef let alone try to carry it out. |

EfemenaXY:In my place (I'm from Ovu close to warri and Agrara-oto(maternal) ) and a lot other urhobo villages I know of, its a taboo to marry an in-law, whether the inlaw is a close one like a brother-in-law or distant. My mum used to drum it into our ears growing up. |
