I tuk my daughter to general hospital(eye clinic) aftr she complaind abt not been able to see d writings clearly on d board.aftr all d rigorous tests,d doc said her right eye lackd activities n needs to b sensitived and he referd me to his friend's clinic at wuse zone 4.can he b right?is it save to allow my daughter to start wearing contact lens(to b inserted right in her iris) at her age.pls advice me.

Hmm, did u ask if she could use glasses instead or did it have to be contact lens?
But health wise,she's not too young to start using it . The probs is just with d respobnsibility and proper care.

tnx fr ur response.we actually went for glasses but after d tests,contact lens was suggested instead.

i got frm ur oda post dt one eye wz said to b amblyopic. since an eye is amblyopic den d refractive power
in both eyes definately shld differ (anisometropia )
hence using contact lense in ha case wld b better
to prevent xperiencin
disparity in retinal image size (anisekonia ). bt u
may hv to wori abt d amblyopic eye turnin
stabismic (half pst 4 eye)hence causin cosmetic disappeal.

handling dis kind of case requires d expertise of a specialist in vision training (an orthoptist ). i tink he or she wld b in a better position to mk decisions on d best treatment options. nd i hv no idea on hw much a contact lens cost bt i knw its more challangin to use dn d normal glasses

i dnt knw if we hv at specialist bt its d duty of ur ophthal to refer u to d appropriate personnel. ur ophthal shld knw where to find one
