Your actual monthly salary should be 52k. You may be lucky to be posted to a juicy department where you can get extra money. If you are a pool officer under OAGF or HOS, you can be posted to other MDAs.

@allbright,i doubt your figure. I have a peep in a fed min who is on level 9 approaching 10 who specifically told me he doesnt earn 80k. Even with d min wage i strongly doubt it.
Also with d standardize min wage of 18k,there wont be much diff btw fed n state. Workn 4 fed govt is best when u work in special places like military,paramilitary,firs,cbn n NOT in ministry where u r placed on grade level

the person must have given you wrong information. In federal government parastatals in rivers state, 8/2 is earning nothing less than 92k

I just into one of the River Basin Devpt Authorities, a parastatal in the Fed. Min. of Water Resources. GL 08, III. The monthly basic is around 59k+, but I like to know if I am also entitled to allowances now or until after confirmation of appointment.

How soon can I expect my first salary arrears? I'm already on month 3 now but we haven't been 'captured' yet.
