I've never heard Igboid as an identity before, anyway the point was that they are branded as Igbo in Rivers state, especially in politics so them being in a Biafra protest does not indicate the sentiments of non-Igbo eastern Nigerians, because Igbo or 'Igboid', they are Igbo at the end of the day.

You needed to listen to what the gentlemen in the studio were saying! They were very upset and disgusted! Some callers were saying that the protesters were igbo settlers infact they speak with so much anger on igbo people. The way they shredded them was an eye opener! I was listening through the stream.
The most callers were ijaw, Okrika Ogoni and others, I didn't hear any ikwere or igboid people call in. But the fact that no single of them called and refuted those lies says a lot! Please we should start work now. We must rightly inform our people, we must unite our people across the board, and we shall also abandon those that are rejecting igbo! One of the reasons you see them sucking up to Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers, and trying to get control of Rivers and Akwa Ibom states through the 'judicial' backdoor is to try and isolate Igbos in the South East! It's a replay of 1967-70 all over again, but this time they're employing the charm offensive!

One of their hopes is that if they can get these Niger Delta states onside, and deny Igboland/SE access to the sea, then we'll give
up the agitation! This is why you must have read on here some of them (both those claiming to be from the Niger Delta and those other ones from the other side of the Niger) gloating and insisting that Igboland is landlocked and that if we're leaving at all that we'll only be taking the 5 SE states with us.....effectively saying that we should forfeit the part of Igboland that Gowon and Awo carved into Rivers state in 1967!
