ABUJA—AHEAD of today’s screening and confirmation of the remaining ministerial nominees, senators of All Progressives Congress, APC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have mapped out strategies on how to achieve their set goals.

While PDP senators have allegedly resolved to frustrate the confirmation of former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, their APC counterparts have vowed to ensure that Amaechi is confirmed.
The PDP senators are said to be worried that with the confirmation of Amaechi as minister, he would wield so much influence and power in the politics of his native home state, Rivers, if a re-run is to be held.
This is coming as the report of the Senator Samuel Anyanwu-led Senate Committee on Ethics Privileges and Public Petitions, on petitions against Amaechi, is to be considered today.
It will be recalled that the report was, last Thursday, presented during plenary but was not considered even though Amaechi was screened, where PDP senators refused to ask questions.
The Anyanwu-led committee deliberated on a petition by a Port Harcourt-based group, Integrity Group, over alleged fraud by the former governor.

Many have tried. Former Governors Peter Odili and Celestine Omehia and the then seemingly powerful PDP faction tried and failed. Former President Goodluck Jonathan tried and failed as well. Honorable Evans Bipi and Honorable Ihunwo as well tried and failed.. CP Mbu of the Nigerian Police force also tried and failed. The One they call Mama Peace also tried and has failed. Akpabio has tried as well in the Senate and has failed.

This Man is unstoppable. The Hand of the God's are strong in his life.

He is the Slayer of Wailers. The Lion of the tribe of Ubima, The King of the Niger Delta, A one man Army. What he sets his mind to he achieves.


Rivers State would be liberated from the shackles of mediocrity and take its rightful place with the likes of Lagos and Abuja as one of the Top Cities in the Nation.

How times have changed the identity of senator Samuel Anyanwu. The man we know back then to be a petty 419er in 403 Road, Festac in the early nineties has now repackaged and remodel to be one of our so called distinguished Senator and most ironically the committee chairman on ethics, privileges and public petitions.
I dearly hope he has changed his criminal attitudes else it will a tall order to get any just results from public petitions through him except the one that he has to play to the gallery like the Ameachi's case.

Amaechi will be confirmed, there is no cause for alarm.Amaechi is a blessed man.I strongly suspect the parents of Amaechi were very devoted to the service of God.If amaechi could scale through omehia,odili,and obj to become governor, then wike is a nobody.
