Ambode tried to please everyone when he got power, so he is not as strict as his predecessor. Now, look at the state of anarchy Lagos is in. I think Ambode needs to call in Bartman right now...or better yet, The Avengers. |
Fashola was a true and exemplary leader. I have lost alot of money due to traffic jams. Even when I leave 2 -3hours earlier, sometimes, I still comr up short. Those commercial buses cause 99% of the hold ups in lagos. They stop indiscriminately in order to pick passengers and they drive without caution. Imposing a harsh punishment on people that stop indiscriminately will go a long way in easing the traffic jams. Ambode is a weakling and an owambe governor. Even the small ban he place on non essential trucks is not being respected. He doesn't command respect like fashola and I really fear he has a big shoe to fill and he might come up exceedingly short.[/quote][/color Spot on my Brother. The bus driver are the major causes of ALL the traffic in Lagos, bad driving habit contributes just a little of the lot. Solution for free to Mr Governor (Ambode) Expend and have a dedicated bus-stops. Ensure enforcement of law on the usage of the bus-stop. Empower the citizens and road users to beat hell out of any fool that park on the road to pick passengers. |

Bus drivers are the major causes of ALL the traffic in Lagos, bad driving habit contributes just a little of the lot Difficult to rob when there is no traffic. Solution for free to Mr Governor (Ambode) Expend and have a dedicated bus-stops. Ensure enforcement of law on the usage of the bus-stop. Empower the citizens and road users to beat hell out of any fool that park on the road to pick passengers. Finally make the Lagos state emergency /distress number very simple eg 3 or 4 digits (356 (EKO) or 4356 (HELP)) |

His campaign pictures gave him away as an unserious person; always laughing sheepishly in all the pictures he took during the campaign. Fat man, stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Fashola has provided a template for you, follow it orobo! |

Ambode should sit up and change his approach to governance. You have succeded in dismantling what you met eon ground and which were working for Lagosians. How will you have the gut to encourage the Lagosians to cooperate in tax payment when you are dancing to the tunes of akinolu and Tinubu and took your predecessor as your enemy, out of fear to match what he did. You should remember Lagos is for all and without the cooperation of all, you will be sent back to Epe come 2019. We must tell you, if you don't know, you are a sleeping governor. Go and learn from Fashola, whose performance, and not who he knows has earned him another job @ the Federal level. You shouldn't see his shoes too big for you to step into. Insecurity everywhere, area boys and thieves/robbers have been reemployed as you stepped in as the governor of the state. PLS, SIT UP, AMBODE. |

Thank you so much for your post. You have proffered solutions and not rain abuses. Roads in Lagos are constrcted without cognizance of bus stops and terminals. 90% of bus stops in Lagos are right there on a traffic lane on the road. Picking up and dropping off perssengers by commercial buses are done at the expense of free flow of traffic How many properly designated bus stops (like the BRT bus stops) do we have in Lagos ? Take the example of Oshodi Oke? A major bus terminal yet no designated bus stop area. Also, the example of Palm Groove bus stop that is a major bus stop in Lagos, there is no designated bus stop for the yellow buses off traffic lanes. Our town planning policies if there' are any have failed. All we see today are Shopping complexes, banks, commercial facilities without ample parking spaces. customers to,these facilities park on the road or instructing flow of traffic by reverse into the road for other parked vehicles to exit. The problem of traffic gridlock in Lagos is fundamental coupled with the lawlessness character of 80% of its road users. |
