Stop being callous. Making fun of a people's struggle is an insult. Floods are natural, you shouldn't blame the people for it. Floods also occur in the USA and UK so calm down.
interesting. so when you call Nigeria a zoo aren't you making fun of the struggles of the other tribes in Nigeria to get it right?

I'm sorry which river over flooded its bank in Abia? sorry that particular flood is not a natural disaster. this one is caused by negligence of your leaders to make good drainage while constructing the road.

its a human disaster.

The same region where the idiots that build other regions come from.....what a worthless region!!!!

The most deserted region in Nigeria.

The only region in Nigeria filled up with the same indigenous people; Igbos everywhere the moment you step into that Igbotic region.

What a Nation it would turn out to be in the future!!!
so nothing like flood in lagos and kaduna

Exactly. Some people here have refused to see it that instead they be raining insults angry All the so-called minorities today, in the event of a break-up becomes majority BUT there will always be a minority until all the tribes in the country becomes independent countries of their own sad

I would like to attest. Government and the people can only do so much. I live in the US in a luxury apt complex that is well taken care of and just this year, we received heavy rain pour and this is what we dealt with, all over the city. Believe me, I live in an area with good drainage and facilities fyi. These are just pictures from my neighborhood, there were worse. It has happened more than once; do you all read some of our news here in the US?

I just don't want you all currently in Nigeria to think it's a failure or lack of care by leadership when things like this happen. Granted, more procedures could be taken perhaps to prepare for these occurrences, but we Nigerians tend to want to quickly point a finger at people for EVERY issue, esp. the Government. Look at this thread, first the FG is blamed, then countered with blame for State Gov't., followed by tribal insults to each other; Yoruba vs Igbo vs Hausa etc. Everyone is to blame, right?

Shi* like this happens EVERYWHERE!

my cell phone pics (mostly cars that are irreparably damaged) ..keep in mind there are cars inside those closed garages that were killed too

...and with all this happening we didn't first point a finger at how our State's leadership is a failure and accost them. We realize these things happen and as a community aided each other in cleaning up and planning for when it may come next. It will eventually dry up. See, some landscapes are just such that rainfall affects them more so than others.

And let me add, I get ANGRY when I see our own people not taking care of our land. I just returned from Naija and I see as people walk the streets, they litter the place with trash. No thought of finding a proper refuse container, and we don't have maintenance mindset. Abeg, this is your home! The drainage is blocked and streets are filthy with garbage. So when it rains and floods, the land looks even more unsightly because of floating refuse. angry sad

Even look at the flood in my American pics, you rarely see floating trash in the waters. undecided

All this wining of mouth here. Go to Lagos state n see flood. Nobody talks about it, I even experienced one that came into d house and everything floated. U guys should stop being biased when it comes to issues like this. Even owerri city when there's rain nobody moves cos ur vehicle will get drowned.

Sweet heart not trying to be biased.

Only trying to celebrate Ochendo's good works.

He did quite a lot while in office, didnt he?

If u ain't biased u wouldn't be pointing only aba where as so many other places are worse than aba. And I mean cities. There are no plyable roads in the whole of the East. When u point aba or Abia state, it now looks as if the other states are in a better position. That is being biased.
