The immigration officer in Benin city Edo state are charging 30,000 35,000 above to issue a passport saying that it is the fixed amount by the federal government. Is it supposed to be so? I was in their office on Thursday, and that is what they collected from me for 64 page. Only for me to glance through my file on Friday and I saw that they only made payment of 22,300 to one union bank account. Please fellow Nigerian's help me to address this issue let corruption stop in Nigeria.

Go online follow the process fill your details and do the payment yourself. If you have visa card then you can pay online or pay at any union or firstbank

Birth certificate
Guarantor(photocopy of that person
2 Passport photographs
Letter from local government confirming that's where you are from like a state of origin letter.

If you pay immigration agent then just know that all they are doing is exactly what I wrote above but Na fake documents them go put for your file

Exactly what happened to me yesterday. I paid 35k only to discover they made a payment of 22300 to union bank.

pls don't even border going there, unless you have money to spend unnecessarily.

I checked the immigration website and I saw #5000 for the issuance of a new E-PASSPORT. BUT WHEN I WENT TO THEIR OFFICE IN UYO, I WAS TOLD 25K FOR A 32PAGE PASSPORT AND 30K FOR A 64PAGE PASSPORT. THE DIFFERNCE IN COST BETWEEN WHAT I SAW ON THEIR WEBSITE AND WHAT I WAS TOLD AT THEIR OFFICE GOT ME SHOCKED BIG TIME

I paid N35000 too for the 64-page.

For me, it's about the convenience. Pay, drop passport photos, give them the necessary info, come back later and do the biometrics/collect passport.

Have done the same for my last 3 passports.

The FG should please look into the immigration. Corruption is so pervasive and has eaten deep into the system. I never thought something like this could be negotiable. Imagine me inquiring from different people in thesame office @ osogbo and both have differing prices for 32pages; 27k, 32k

Hello house, how are you guys doing? I have a situation right here that I need urgent help and suggestions that will be of high benefit.
My Friend is a student in Malaysia who has a passport that is due to expire in 2019. There are some complications with the immigration and stuffs like that, in Malaysia that warrant him to change passport before he goes back because he is currently on medical treatment in Nigeria.

He wants to get a new passport and forfeit renewing the old one which is not even expired yet.
