The roof is still under construction, when the roof is completed that wood will be braced and will not rest on the polystyrene fascia

Culled from one of the great Aventures' classes.

Pix 1. Damp roof admixture (sycallyte) being added to the capping concrete mix.
Pix 2. Capping concrete in place to prevent dampness, used to perfect our floor level yet to come and to be used as reference point for measuring out our lintel level and other measuremnts
Pix 3. View of the capped area.
Pix 4. More view of the capped Area.

Let's discuss this with regards to it's advantages over German floor and how effective it is to prevent dampness.

Nice iniative.... The performances could be improved by adding light reinforcement of say 2Y 8mm across the wall.

This house us now fully occupied, and no form of dampness whatsoever. We actually adopted this method based on the mentality of some of our clients; they prefer to see their house rising up rather than doing the german floor.

Thank you Lastpage, the white door costs an average of N130,000 . There is also similar doors with different colours selling for about N90,000 . White is always exorbitant. But I bought two of it.

What do you think about these aluminum profiles? Are they possible in Nigeria?
So many things are possible in Nigeria. I'm presently planning an advanced all-glass patio in my beachfront residence. I'm working with Rotex Glass, Lekki 1, Lagos.

@egunmogaji, the courtyard you wanted is now possible.

Please keep adding more laterite fill, so you can get a good natural compaction with the rain.

So we did the initial 100 tons and now digging for the soakaway to use that dirt too as filling. Then we'll get the second load of 100 tons of laterite. The issue is that the site is near impossible to access after heavy rains like these for the trucks.

I need to teach a lesson to Nigerian truck owners about proper tire selection.

They don't understand the difference between tires meant for steer axles, drive axles and trailer axles, or maybe they know or greed is the motivator.

http://www.bfgoodrichtrucktires.com/tires/tires-101/tire-selection-tips/position/

"Meet your truck's workhorses and traction gurus, designed exclusively for drive (or torque) axles. Lug-type or siped tread designs help drive tires maximize traction levels on various surfaces."

It's my pet peeve to check the tires on trucks and 90% of the time they have the cheaper turn axle tires on the drive axles and yet we have FRSC in this country. Dearisgodoooooo
