major466:Ahh!!!...woah!!! This remains one of the best post I have read about this government. I have been having this same thoughts but I jst don't seem to believe it cos I feel in the world of today no one will want to adopt such approach most especially in a heterogeneous environment like ours. No wonder the plan to restore the Nigerian Airways, and other government owned profit-making ventures. |

biafranqueen:Words on marble! The deceit was legendary, their conning acumen exceptional and the victims were youths who are bereft of ability to reason. Youths whose only duty is to insult, attack and chant sai baba at every sound of " i will pight kwuoruption". Youths who are incapable of asking the right questions, rather they are given to all kinds of prejudice. After 6 months, the alleged missing 20 billion is still not found, and like the chibok scam; may never be found. |

uote author=bishoppapi post=39601975] No we didn't, what we did was in the best interest of this country. Nigerians need to be patient and support this administration. This administration has not even spent 1 year in office.[/quote]yes my brother or sister, the administation has not spent up to one year and yet they are crying that we are broke! The most painful part of it is that they go out side denting the image of thee country they claim to be building. By so doing, they are trying to tell us that this government is a hopeless one. Thank you |

Mistake no bi small.Sometimes we think God doesn't know what He’s doing. Sometimes we think that because a APC(Change) president got elected, that God has suddenly fallen off the throne, thrown up His hands, and given up on Nigeria. That for another four years, we will have to suffer and plow through the immoral and umbilical decisions of a man who is far beyond hope, and pick up the pieces when we get a chance to vote again. |

major466:Your statement here would have made for a nice intellectual discuss save your hate jibe at the president. I would have love to have a debate on which direction Nigeria should go - capitalism, socialism or a balanced mix of the two. I know Buhari is an unrepentant socialist, and as you observed, that is the context in which he said Nigeria is broke. With crude selling at $40 per barrel, there is no way Nigeria can implement any socialist program ( the government cannot even pay salaries). We are in between the devil and the deep blue sea right now, if we go for capitalism as advocated by IMF without any social safety nets, the social imbalance between a few exploitative capitalist and the vast majority of the poor masses will destroy the very fabric of the nation. A few symptoms of these social unrest are militancy, Boko Haram, IPOB, and lots more will spring up. If we go on the path of socialism, apart from the fact that we cannot afford it, we will still be destroyed by the corruption, inefficiency and wastes that have bedeviled such socialist schemes in the past. So we need a new innovative way of promoting capitalism without it's expolitative tendencies, and we need to find a way to provide some sort of safety net to the very poor. |
