The only way I can manage to forgive this family is to have all members of this family lined up at bar beach and shot. Their father destroyed Nigeria; economically, socially and morally. Even our super Eagles were not spared. If not for him, we would have won South Africa 96 as we had the best crop of players in Africa then. A certain Jonathan Akpoborie of German first division Hansa Rostock, who was the highest goal scorer in the Bundesliga couldn't make the Nigerian national team team because others who delivered every time could not be overlooked for him. Most of Nigeria's best and brightest in the diaspora today fled during his reign. He put Idi Amin to shame in his display of brute force with spontaneous exactitude in dismissing his rivals and catapulting them to the great beyond in Machiavellian precepts. He was Nigeria's version of King Herod! Never again o Lord shall we witness an evil leader like Abacha anywhere in Africa. He is the head of the unofficial community of infamous dictators ever to walk on the geo-political climes of Africa. To the thrash can of history, Sanni Abacha and family! |

You are right, but this has NOTHING to do with an opinion. Let me help you, the definition of an opinion is: a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty or a personal view, attitude, or appraisal. There is no such thing as an opinionated truth. In other words if its a fact, opinions have the same worth as Zimbabwean money, worthless/useless. Was he a tyrant=fact, was he a kleptomaniac in other words did he take what was not his (before you give your opinion, note that other countries US, UK and Switzerland actually returned some of the stolen money) = fact Was he a narcissist = fact Does the UN use him as benchmark for stealing = fact So of course you can still see him as a folk hero, thats your right, but please lable him factually. Say I look up to a tyrannic, kleptomanic known for stealing. You will get no argument from me. Dont people look up to Idi Amin, Ghenghis Khan and Hitler today? PBundles: Harrisonwo: |

PBundles:They will always says things bout people who refuse to bend to their wills. Check stubborn countries lyk libya, iraq, syria who refuse to bend and they forcing them out. Till today, their story change for worst. The General stole(YES) and we know all politicians steal but ask urself wat impact did they have on the life of the common man, Sani did tins that up till now are still remembered of him: refineries, roads, military strength, inflation rate fall, increase of foreign reserve frm $mil to $bil, and many tins. What has ur civil n good heads done if not destroy what was left behind. Nigeria deserve soft leaders but we aint ready for them now |

hobermener: Whenever I make the controversial comment- "NAIJA NO GO EVER BETTER", folks wallowing in feelings of delusional patriotism will be all to quick to call for my head. This is a family whose kleptomaniacal inclinations left the country hemorrhaging to near death, and it beats my imagination that they are being celebrated on social media, with some expressing feelings of admiration and envy for a family whose members should have been made to pay for the hell they put this country through. I'm reminded of a thread that made front page a day back, where a girl was pictured trying to study her notes in a very uncomfortable position at the road side with some roasted corn conspicuously displayed at her side. Her situation mirrors that of the average poor nigerian child who has been brought into untold hardship by the callous looting of public funds perpetuated by successive past administrations, of which this family is chiefly notable. I watch awe struck as hillary clinton, arguably the most influential female politican in the US was being drilled and quizzed by a committee of low profile congressmen, and juxtaposing that with the way polithiefcians are being celebrated in Nigeria and cheered on by the masses, majority of who live in abject poverty, filth and utter despair, i chuckle upon hearing the much trumpeted "slogan of hope" NAIJA GO BETTER. Pls Nigerians the truth! We should stop celebrating such people. |

PBundles: Harrisonwo:My brother you see this is the exact disease that is plaguing Nigeria and the rest of Africa. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YES HE STOLE BUT.......... Are you serious? I have news for you, A leader is NOT supposed to steal. s/He is paid a salary and has benefits of being a leader and get this: If done well s/he will never have to steal anything because it will be provided for them based on their loyal service. i will prove it to you: PLEASE SHOW US A LINK ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET WHERE YOU WILL SEE IN A DEVELOPED COUNTRY A CITIZEN PRAISING A LEADER FOR STEALING BUT ALLOWING IT BECAUSE HE HAS DONE THINGS. NEWSFLASH HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO THESE THINGS. WE HAVE SO LONG TO GO, HENCE I CALL IT SLAVE MENATALITY..............THE SLAVE ALWAYS THINKS HIS MASTER CAN DO NO WRONG. |

Once again another reason why we cant progress in that country, I ask you to show your proof, instead of eating humble pie agreeing Im right and learning from it, what do you do. you ask me the EXACT same question I ask you. Well no worries, ignorance didnt start yesterday, I just hope that after I have honored your request, you will do the very same. I would be dissappointed if you didnt or just went away saying nothing. Here you go good chap, feel free to discredit them but please with facts ok. I know its hard to believe when your hero is Abacha (wonders will never cease) US presidents (Us presidents are not allowed to manage their accounts but its done via a wealth management corp, this is a known fact. After they leave for a period of years its still managed. Discrepancies when declaring and after tenure must be signed off by the wealth management. I could have listed more but these two actually had negative assets after leaving, though Mr Carter was a rich man from peanut farming) Jimmy Carter Dwight Eisenhower José Alberto "Pepe" Mujica Cordano of Uruguay he gives 90% of his salary away and rides and old Volkswagen. Look him up he is quite famous Nelson Mandiba Mandela Have a read about him during his tenure as president and corruption. When your oppressors sing your praises what more can you say. Jan Peter Balkenende former ducth PM who is currently teaching and lived in an attached (not detached) duplex when he was PM in the period 2002-2010. Piet de Jong Dutch Pm from 1967 -1971 former navy commander, lived to be 100, known for being very humble I could go on and on...........but you get the picture. You see not everyone is money grabber, there are those that know what true leadership and leaving a legacy is about. No please as I asked please provide what I asked earlier: PLEASE SHOW US A LINK ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET WHERE YOU WILL SEE IN A DEVELOPED COUNTRY A CITIZEN PRAISING A LEADER FOR STEALING BUT ALLOWING IT BECAUSE HE HAS DONE THINGS. I never asked u for a foreign president. Show me a nigeria president that didn't steal n also developed their country. The USA are over 200yrs old in democracy, and the others are older. At that age in the 19s, corruption was high as well as other vices. Accept he worked but ewas corrupt to a fault. Ask ur peeps, the only negetive thing people have against the general was that he stole. People refuse saying the good tins he did.. PBundles: |

When did I tell you any Nigerian past president was honest? I mentioned from the beginning that thats the reason we dont progress in Nigeria. drop the age thing, just a wash. You know Ethopia got theirs in 980 BC right? No problem I see you cant provide it as requested, no issue I knew you couldnt. You keep singing Abacha's praises ok. Its your right. Harrisonwo: |
