The Bible Divine And Unique. Yet So Much Disagreement. by plappville(op):
I was thinking about this book that is filled with inspiration, a book not like others yet so much doctrine has been created from it. I want to ask this question for once: Are God's people confused of His Word or Did he make it confusing to them? Take a look at all these groups that have used the Bible: Wether we agree they are God's people or not is not the issue here. The Issue is why do men find it hard to agree on one Interpretation of the Bible.

Jehovah's Witnesses ,Mormons,Catholics
Baptist, Unitarian , Jewish (Old Testament) Islam (Old Testament and some of the New) ,Pentecostal ,Anglican
Calvinist and lots more.

All of them ve endless scriptures and so-called "old hand" that defend their particular interpretations of doctrine. They always disagree!

Most of them disagree on the methods and means of SALVATION! All using the same book! All surporting what they say with SCRIPTURE and OLD HAND!!!
When one believe He is correct. He eventually says He has the holy spirit but the other have not. Who is really right and who will accept that the other is right and He is wrong?

I think God did not make the bible obscure..maybe man does. What do you think?

Don't u mean Divine

[b]You may do well to distrust anybody who claims to know so well what God wants or even writes it in a book, i have always noticed it is mostly in coincide to their own ideas and selfish egoistic dogma or sometimes culture.

Similarly the Quran and many other religious books also spark up different interpretation stemming from one source.

With every new interpretation hoping to outwit the old as the better one and with every knew emergence comes more conflict of ideas, dogma and doctrines which ultimately leads to emergence of another in reformation and ends up being exactly what others are.

Every person claims so strongly that theirs is the right one and others are simply deceived, where as in Christianity it spans to almost 40,000 distinct sects and doctrines all hewn from the same source each person interpreting it to suit his own personal ideas or ego.

The funny part is that they all claim some super spirity power is leading their distinct and most time contradicting interpretations.

It is either the spirit is drunk or maybe confused Or there simply was none in the whole saga just MEN interpreting one text to suit their own personal ego or conform to their own ideology of how it should be blaming it on a spirity stuff...

I think that goes to establish the fact that it is not the work of man; only the Truth attracts the attention of the father of lies. he has been at it since Genesis 3!

Moreover, another problem is PRIDE!!!

(we are afraid/unwiling to discover that
i) we have been deceived;
ii) our 'exalted' clergy/pastor/priest/church founder did not do a thorough job;
iii) the partial position/teaching satisfies and gratifies our flesh and relieves us of our responsibility and we dont want any contrary but Scripturally sound view that will deny us our pleasure/false assurances.
iv) the man who left a ministry to start his own wants numbers and wants to be different from where he left even at the risk of distorting the Word etc

Besides, if you consider the claims and beliefs of various dissenters, you will notice a holding unto a position/teaching, carved out from a passage ignoring what was said about the same subject in other passages and a movement is born holding to that teaching while ignoring other passages that, if considered, would have set things in the right perspective.

The fact that all other books were copied from The Bible shows the bible the only Divine Book ever.

Thanks for your contribution.

Which other books are you talking abouthuh The book i was referring to on my post is the bible itself as a matter of fact.. **Comprehension**

My mention of other books is that they all spark up different interpretations ... seriously you all should always read to comprehend..

So since bible copied from Gilgamesh epic then Gilgamesh epic is divinely inspired?

Seriously i wonder how you all think, these are mere mythological and cultural assimilation

Thank you for your own view..don't you think we all misinterpret the bible sometimes? You mentioned the word "Pride" This is a Key word. The other time I saw someone telling the other Christian that only a true christians can understand the trinity doctrine. How can such a statement be valid when Christ did not even Mentioned that (He is God). Also Infant baptism and so many to be named....

You said the Coran and other books also spark up different interpretation stemming from one source.

I said that source must be a true source. (The bible)
Is there a matter with that?

I don't have to start arguing with you na. Should I?

The matter is your comprehension of that line...

Biblical conflicting interpretation is from one source (BIBLE)

Quranic conflicting interpretation is from one source (Quran)

Hindu Veda conflicting interpretation is from one source (Veda)

You mistake is that you take the bible as a subject of point when i referred to these books but my assertions was very clear..

" Similarly the Quran and many other religious books also spark up
different interpretation stemming from one source."

it is clear your infusion of bible into this assertion is of your own making and poor comprehensibility.

The book i mentioned in the assertion is the subject of my point of that assertion not the bible... Please please understand it..

I don't have to start arguing with you na. Should I?

Not really you only need comprehend..

Ok, but i hope you saw that the OP said the BIBLE is not like other books yet so much doctrine has been created from it by the mentioned groups in the write-up? I did not in anyway reduced the bible but placed it as the only true book that all others copied from to form thier religion. As far as I know. The bible is divine. But men have problems to accept it the way it has presented itself. Hence so much misinterpretation.
