This beautiful and road in GRA Phase 3, popularly known as Rotimi Ameachi Drive, is always flooded any time there is rainfall. My office is around the area. On such days like the ones in the pictures,I just leave my car, remove my shoes, roll up my trousers and start trekking but some motorists defy the flood and drive amidst it, most especially Jeep owners. Though the road is good, the poor drainage system always leaves the road flooded.

When I took these pictures, I had waited for over 2 hours after the rain and the water level had gone down yet it was still like this. More pictures.

Their are underground Waterway in that road and the passage of water is very lil thats why you see much water around that area!

Some idiots will wait for small rain and start disposing refuse into drainages.It's not always the government's fault .

Flooding is a perennial problem in Nigeria. I don't know why something tangible to solve the problem hasn't been done. And for those politicizing it, I guess you need to travel to Uyo and Calabar to see that flooding happens where so much money was allegedly spent on road construction still. Same happens in Lagos. Lack of proper town planning is the problem.

This is common sight everywhere in Nigeria na. Am not surprised.

Abeg make una come Lagos when e rain, Infact some street no need rain they re naturally river..

If una experience Lagos flood, u go know say Red sea get path with Lagos gutter..
