Hi good folks. This is gonna be a bit long. I've watched Arsenal consistently since 1998, and i can tell this is probably one of the worst assembled arsenal squads ever. Fine, they've won the F.A Cup back to back, but thats after Wenger's head has been on the chopping block and he went out to get Ozil n Sanchez, motivated guys who enjoy success at national level. But when it comes to the big trophies, the prem n champs league, tihey CANT even compete. Reason, simple: Wenger is an arrogant man, but ofcuz everyone knows that now. I predicted Arsenal wont make the top 4 this season, but if i miss that mark, more shocking it is that they might not get past the 1st round in Europe. But it doesnt surprise me one bit. 2 seasons ago, January, Arsenal led by 7 points, players got injured, Wenger went out to get Kim Kallstrom! Chelsea/Man united would have bought 3 classy players to maintain their lead into March n win the title! But Wenger, nah, he's Mr. Perfect, Mr Know-it-all, Mr my-squad-is-good-enough, Mr perfect-excuses. After the 8-2 demolition by United, Sir Alex whispered into his ears to buy players with 2 or 3 days to go. U can imagine when your biggest rival advices u.
Arsenal has a good crop of players, no doubt. But they're short of competing at the highest level. Thats where the brainwashing happened early this season with the press trumping up their chances. Now, it will turn to "they can focus on the title if they get knocked out." Or "if ramsey, walcott, bellerin played, we'd have won." Such arrogance.
SOLUTION: Thierry Henry said it all. Arsenal needed/still needs 4 top class players, to be MORE competitive. It wont guarantee the big titles, but they'll get closer and not just fall like a pack of cards whenever the big matches come around. A defender, a striker, and a defensive miidfileder. Coquelin is good, but out of his depth. Not 1st team arsenal quiality, like Vieira or Gilberto. Goes to show how low the standards have fallen at Arsenal. Its an insult not to buy players and say u are good enough when u clearly cant scratch the surface of the big guns. Even mighty Barcelona, not withstanding the ban, still go out n buy players who are just chilling until January: Arda turan n the right back from sevilla, his name escapes me.
SO, Araenal fans, please take several seats and relax, your club isn't going anywhere. That bayern team actually brought in vidal, coman, costa(kind of player Wenger should have gotten), cus u aint gonna win the league with Chamberlains n Coquelins in ur first team. Hell naw!

Using ur analogy, Then la liga is useless cos barca once chopped 7 goals home and away in champions league, atleast is 5-3 on aggregate for arsenal.
Arsenal had their options at forward position limited to Giroud, same thing on the right wing with Campbell doing the big guys job, same at defence. What do you expect Wenger to do?

All those injury are just stories. When Arsenal played Bayern in the first leg, Alaba was the one in central defence

Ribery, Gotze, Robben, Badstuber, Benatia, Coman, Rode were all out injured and that didnt make them concede 5 goals in 90mins like the useless Arsenal from the useless EPL
