This spills happen everytime, the indigenes of the host communities can't farm, fish or even drink water since the oil companies or the government can't provide them with portable drinking water.
The Nigerian state continue to reap from their land with little or nothing to show for it.
From Ogoni to Aluu, Abua, Ahoada, Omoku, Oyibo, Egbema, down to Bayelsa people suffer these oil spills. With no relief or severance package.
All they're interested in is how to sell oil forgeting there are people that feel the direct impact of the exploration activities.

The way Russia responds to spills in their environment is very different from the I-don't-care attitude of Nigeria as far as they can continue sucking the 'Our oyel.' Spot the difference

Those guys are not Yorubas, simple.

The SS is governed by some of the most corrupt entities in the world. And the people there are so lazy and not very industrious.
They are indeed really fortunate to have oil. I don't see that part of Nigeria prospering any other way.
And with oil losing value, and with a virtually destroyed ecosystem, the SS is going to prove a huge burden on the state in the future.
