[quote author=TonyeBarcanista post=39772809]Lying Liars! No tribunal can 'sack' any governor to install another. The electoral law forbids that. The worst they can do is to order rerun. As for this case, the Judge is yet to give his verdict. so ignorant of the law |

BoiGrammz:don't be sily. The fact that someone expresses reservations on certain things, doesn't make the person a 'wailer' like most dense people like to assume. This isn't about your mama Taraba, but the judiciary and it's lope-sided judgments.......if you can't understand that, then you won't understand anything How many times am I even on this trash section that I'm suddenly a 'wailer'?.... where were you when I was supporting Buhari that you want to assume things about me based on one post? |

TonyeBarcanista:You talk without consulting precedence. Do you read at all? So why didn't same law work against amaechi when one governor was removed for him to take over rivers state. I know what will be your defense in this case and I will tell you how other sections of the same law will allow what just happened in Taraba state. |

mapet:But this very tribunal judgement says that she did NOT "win the hearts of the majority of Taraba people". In fact, the tribunal affirms that the PDP candidate did. The election of the man that apparently won the hearts of "majority of the people of Taraba" was just nullified based simply on WHERE one of the parties held the primaries to chose their candidate. I HOPE YOU ARE AWARE OF THAT. |

philGeo:Change can never come from APC or PDP. Change can only come from us as citizens of Nigeria. Until we change our selfish mindset and embrace patriotism devoid of family, tribe, culture, compensation but deserving, change will continue to elude us. Each and everyone of us is the change bringer. |
| Re: Aisha Jummai-Alhassan 1st Elected Female Governor As Tribunal Sacks Ishaku by nameo: 4:02pm On Nov 07, 2015 |
mapet:Yeah. But the majority of Tarabans DID NOT choose neither this woman nor her party in the said election. In fact, put more bluntly, the majority of voting Tarabans REJECTED this woman and her party's desire to rule over them. If this judgement eventually stands, that's exactly what it will simply amount to. The people did not decide. |

This is robbery. Daylight robbery. Taraba is predominantly christian and they vote along religious lines. Now this woman is a Muslim and never really stood a chance against a christian male. there's got to be more to this. |

Everyone is quoting barcanista's clueless post and to think that he has modified it speaks volume. I thought the first female governor was virgy etiaba of Anambra state. Congrats mama taraba. |

nameo: balladin:to dose who claim she wasn't voted nor did she win d hearts of tarabans, u r not certain of that. but i can tell u those who voted on religious sentiment were majorly pdp loyalists. if dey rejected her party as stated by someone, how come apc had a huge number of vote in d presidential election? i served in taraba so i knw wht i'm saying. |

Koolking:change can never come from Pdp or Apc but change can come from Pdp nd Apc. Reason: when there is a change in d pdp nd apc, it go a long way nd affect almost d whole country through d parastatals, sectors, organisations nd govt bodies in d country (major change) and individual change most time affects only few people (1,2,3,4,5 people), a minor change. It is therefore incubent that our leaders in govt from d different parties give us d major change that we all wail for in this country. People don't change easily but with d force of law nd order in d hands of d govt. |

TonyeBarcanista:Barcanista please try to be objective for once. For God sakes there was no PDP primaries in Taraba state, and you of all people should know that is one of the conditions prescribed by the electoral act. As painful as it is, your party PDP gave APC a fully loaded gun, and APC just used it. The judge couldn't have rulled the case otherwise. It's a simple opportunity that APC cashed in on. I know you will soon come up with a long 'biased' and untruthful epistle about this judgement. We are waiting. |

Did i just hear PDP's unofficial spokesman say "No tribunal can sack a governor and install another?" Really Is this assertion based on ignorance or pain Or you don't like the word sack?Sack or remove as applicable to election matters is a right of any tribunal. The case of Taraba is just an expression of that right that every tribunal has. Simple explanation: the PDP didn't conduct primaries, the 'outgoing' governor just 'sacked' by the tribunal didn't pass through a primary election hence the party had no candidate. The candidate with the second highest number of votes cast is the winner of the election. PDP actually shot themselves by not conducting primaries in Taraba. |
