no doubt Okocha is a very skillfull player but he never played at the u-17 level

in 1993 when Kanu, Oruma and co were at Japan 93 as winners

Kanu is very talented but after the heart surgery, he lost some of his magical instincts.

Neither have Nigeria "EVER" lost to an African side in the history of the Fifa u-17 World cup. (1985, 1993, 2001).

Neither have Nigeria failed to take the trophy when her player is Golden boot winner. (1993, 2007)

Neither have Nigeria ever lost a final at this level to Non-European opposition.

This team have enough to "BREAK" THE WIN-IN-ASIA-ALONE JINX........ THEY ARE OUT TO SHOW THAT WE CAN WIN ANYWHERE........... *smiles*

i guess You know your team

This coach is confused, What does age have to do with talent at this level. So coach I put it to u,that your striker that dribbled almost five defenders of Nigeria to score the equalising goal is he truly under 17? So that display of brilliancy is beyond what under 17 lad can do.
looolz, don't mind d man, ....IF ONLY HE MET THE 2007 U17 SET "THE TELLA BOYS" ....DEN HE GO KNOW SAY DIS ONES NA SMALL BOYS

Dont be baffled bros, its becasue our boys are not truly the age they quote, See most of the Europeans and South Americans players who particiapted in 93 with Uncle Kanu are still plying their trade up till today
Great one.

But seriously, why do we always fail to translate U17 excellence to the senior theme? I'm baffled
Re: Nigeria Vs Mali: FIFA U-17 World Cup Final (2 - 0) On 8th November, 2015 by Baatunde(m): 2:56am On Nov 08, 2015
To be honest , ask any one living in Europe especially and they will tell you that an average European always underestimate the age of an African. A friend of mine who was 40 then asked his colleagues to guess his age and some were off the mark ( reduction) by about 12 years. Thats because Physiologically, the body development and ageing process is more pronounced and swifter with Europeans and that is why an 18 year old Caucasian (white) would also look like a 30 year old to an African. In reality therefore, a real Under 17 from Africa would NEVER be a physical match for a European Under 17 in a game of football, so what is the fuss all about

In as much as i don't fancy this 2015 under 17 final between Nigeria and Mali because it is not an easy finals for both teams, the two teams are too close to seperate.I can tell you that the most technical of the two would win this match,by technical i mean to say, using your head more than your feet/skills.The team that can exploit technical fouls where it matters would be crowned champions.

I further reason out two ifs,1. what would have happened if Mali were to play against Brazil & Mexico? 2. What would have happened if Nigeria had played Paraguay and Belgium?

I am concluding here that should Nigeria played as they did against Brazil,Mali should forget winning this cup and should Nigeria played as we did against Mexico we will be punished without redress.

Finally,if i were to be the coach,i will be more occupied with defensive discipline and be deadly/clinical whenever the opportunities to score present itself.Mali is beatable with the right approach. If we loose guard as we did in 2009 final against switzerland it will not be palatable. This Mali team is dangerous !!!
