Wealthy people in Banana Island are known to spend so much on things an average man doesn’t need. Like exotic dogs, peacocks, parrots and pets, vintage cars and wine, tree houses, expensive art works and collections. It’s like a show-off. They don’t gain pleasure by having them but they do whenever they showoff and the average you out there starts screaming, not like you can’t afford a peacock, just that you won’t be able to pay for your house rent if you do. That’s by the way.

During my last visit to Banana Island, Something struck my attention. Most homes in Banana Island have something in common, a garden. Am sure you will be like “all that noise for a garden? You must be a bushman”. This piece of outdoor furniture got me starring. A three seater garden swing seat. You don’t get to see it around all the time. Its frame is made of galvanized iron and its lavish canopy shields you from the scorching sun. Dangling on it, I can tell that it will be perfect for gardens, recreational parks, swimming pool sides, children play ground, school play grounds, hotels, worship centers.

On a closer look, it’s obvious that it was designed to rock your back, absorb & suspend your weight while oscillating your body frame at a dangling speed of a pendulum. Now, there are 101 indoor activities i can indulge outdoor, i kept fantasizing. Sinking into my swing chair while entertaining my friends, granting a celebrity interview, hosting an outdoor house party, reading my newspapers and magazines, playing my candy rush on my wife’s tablet while escaping our noisy house and seeking asylum in my garden.
My fantasies were short-lived. I won’t forgive Tunde, my friend who tapped me on the shoulder, while I was bemused, gazing voraciously at that 3 seater hammock chair. I managed to snap the swing seat with my wife’s tablet but believe me, it’s more adorable than it looks. Hope I didn’t sound mischievous?
