thank you very much. Pls how did they arrive at the 72 since jamb is over 400. Eg if OAU cut off is 250, they always find the average in jamb and post jamb. Jamb= 240/400 and post jamb= 260/400.

Let's say you score 240 in jamb utme, it will then be divided by 8 and added to your pume score maybe 84 which is also divided by 2. The total sum of both will be added to give you your aggregate score.


Summary: 240/8= 30, 84/2=42... Sum total of both=72...

Because he's studying pub admin in the university and he will definitely be a public speaker someday.
So while his mates are playing now, he is studying the dictionary to improve his vocabularies.
For we all know that public speaking is mainly about vocabs and vocabs and more vocabs.

It's unfair that university graduates are given preferential treatments over polytechnic graduates in the labour market. It's really heart breaking.

I still remember when I wrote jamb. How I travelled from my town to a town alien to me,just to write the exam. I still remember how I sat there at that bar reading my jamb pack like my life depended on it while others were busy enjoying life. Like I was going to die if I took my eyes off even for a micro second to crush the bad belle mosquitoes that were having a very nice time with my leg and of course,debiting from my blood bank with needle like mouths.

I stil remember how I was awake all through that same night which was just few hours to my exam not because the little boy that was on the same bed with me kept farting in his sleep but cos I was restless and kept asking myself "what if I fail"?

Then Pume came and I was worried again "what if I fail"? I remember how at a certain time,my priorities changed from "make heaven" to "pass pume,then we can start talking of making heaven"..lol

I still remember a certain time when all that mattered was to become a student of Uniben.

As I walked into class today to receive lecture for the first time,I paused and meditated on the journey so far and smiled.

I smiled because I remembered how not to too long ago I was an aspirant. "Bloody jambites",they will fondly call us.

I smiled because I looked back at how unserious I was with my jamb preparations but still made it. How very unserious I was with pume but still made it. And then and there,it hit me. The realisation that I could be anything I wanted to be --- the question was just a matter of "how bad ksslib really wanted it"?

And then and there, I muttered something to myself that will come to become an intimate part of my pursuit of happiness till the day I bite the dust

"If ksslib really wants it,he gets it"....

And I smiled..

Mehn, I'm so bushed. I've not eaten, so tired, hoping to get home before 9:30..

But I've got a strange feeling that I'd one day remember today, maybe because I had the chance to "show myself" for those social workers - (Might help when I'm contesting for S.u.g president - Good alignment :-)
