Cindino20:Chei.. My oga has spoken!!! Azzin the importance of getting a good CGPA first semester cannot be overemphasized. So many have said it, many keep saying it. That's the only reason keeping me from looking for a job now sef. Another thing to note is that many of these Profs know stuff but them no sabi lecture. I will drop a good tip: record your lectures. It's illegal though, but it surely helps. Again visit YouTube if you're lost. I have learnt a lot from YouTube. And although I was once discouraged, because of my background, I no longer am... A lot of students in my class don't know what the professor teaches in class. Initially I think say na me dull... Later I find out say na all of us dey same level.. Also past questions, try to find them, some lecturers dey repeat past questions die as I was told.. Anyways I don't believe I have posted all these comments here today... Need to get busy. If you want flex, flex... What is important is know yourself according to Socrates and TIME MMANAGEMEN. Two very important ingredients of success. Alles Gute. Tschüß! |

good morning everyone, please is there anyone here who is currently studying Applied and engineering physics at TUM at m.sc level? Or knows someone studying that course at TUM. I have got a question that needs clarification. Thanks. #TeamWinter2016# |
| Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Hampy: 7:37am On Nov 10, 2015 |
Noted. But it was my school that suggested it. I don't even know about it until my school emailed me and mentioned it. I don't think they would have suggested it if the Auslander won't accept it. Anyways, it's what I'll use....There's no harm in trying, especially if it's going to save me a lot of money. AOK Insurance is now 61 Euros monthly (732Euros in a year) while Care-Concept is 28Euros (312Euros in a year). That’s a difference of 420Euros that can cover a lot of other things during my study. If the Auslander rejects it, I believe they should tell me the reason why…..if they don’t, I’ll ask them politely and I believe I’ll get clarifications. These are two different companies offering the same services - student health insurance. One is considerably cheaper than the other, a student should have the choice to pick which one…. and if the Auslander rejects a student’s choice, then they should state the reason why. They can’t just turn me down and send me out of the door because I refuse to buy my health insurance from AOK. These companies usually have a kind of pact with the embassy, consulates, Auslander etc. Little wonder why most, if not all, of us opened our blocked accounts with Deutsche Bank….DB is not the only bank you can open your blocked accounts with… But it is the bank being touted by the embassies and most of their websites has the DB weblink directing you to their website….Why? Thanks bro. I go try my Care-Concept and if they no gree I go use the one wey dem talk. I no get option. But that will mean that the system is coercing me into contracting with a very expensive company when I can get the same product at a relatively cheaper rate from another company. Which is so unfair….Which is so unjust…….And which can be corrected……If we all make our positions known to the relevant authorities. After all, we are students and the system shouldn't be seen to be exploiting us.. Good morning. ( Eke40seven: |

Hampy, dont be offended, You have been on this forum for long but I am highly disappointed in you with the way you hammering on this Care-Concept like a NEWBEE, you wey naija wahala and polluted air done deal with, want to compare to compare your self with oyinbo wey dey get health insurance from pikin and never get fever for his life. I thinking it is an opportunity to get better health services than saving money. Oyinbo wise pass you they will never give the same services to the person that pays 61 euros and the person that pays 28 euros. Thank God Nevilbot has explained everything, please have a rethink . nevilbot: |

Oh no bro, I’m not offended! Not at all. I’m only surprised that you’re disappointed. After all, It’s my choice, not yours….so there’s absolutely nothing to be disappointed about. And I’m not forcing anybody on here to follow suit. My school suggested Care-Concept, I looked it up, I feel good about it and I’m going to use it. As a matter of fact, I have even applied and I have my certificates already. Sorry to disappoint you. As far as I’m concerned, saving money is much more important to me in this situation. I no get insurance for naija and I no die...I hardly get sick, thank God for that. Even the money I’ll be paying to Care-Concept for their health insurance package will never be needed by me at anytime for any reason by the special grace of God. As for the quote from Nevilbot….. I don’t see how that applies here…..But thanks anyway. Best wishes. lamingo: |

Hasty generalization is one the biggest problem we have as Nigerians and Africans. Different Strokes for different folks they say. You know 1 or 2 peeps having difficulty in getting jobs in Germany, suddenly there is no job in Germany? Because a professor told you something, it suddenly became general? What you read online about Germany in need of "skilled workers" is very true but misinterpreted by many. Germany's economy and population is fine as it is But th e population is not growing as fast as the economy and studies have shown that Germans are not ready to increase child birth thus, the economy will become unsustainable in 20 years time if something is not done along the way. Germany need is not an "immediate" one rather a gradual, steady and systematic one. The high rate of refugee acceptance is a testimony to this. Many things have been said about school ratings but I will like to share one of the conclusions from the wealth of Heterodox Economist latest research about inequality and standard of living: comparing Germany and US "one of the main Reasons why inequality is lower and standard of living is higher in Germany is that it does not matter which university you send your child to because Education in Germany is publicly financed while you have to buy it with private funds in the US to send your child to the best. Middle and low income earners in Germany do not have to compete with the high income earners to give their children quality education and have social mobility". As far as I know what is important in this part of the world is your grade at the end of the day, whether in uni or unioas, always strife to be the best. Working and studying it's all about knowing yourself and time management. Working doesn't mean you be the worst in your class and not working doesn't mean you will be the best in your class. I worked during my 1st semester and am still an above average student in my class meanwhile I have other Nigerian students in my class who said they want to concentrate and settle down in there 1st semester 1st and end up failing 1 or 2 courses. €8040 is a lot of money but check your account balance after your 1st 6 months that will tell you your next line of action. As for people like me who no get anyone to send dem dine naija, working and studying is not easy but possible. Know yourself, settle in fast and manage your time well. Blonde or black girls... hmmmm it's a big one. I will say it also depends on what you want but from my part of the country na Cameroonians full here and they will never ever follow you, na white wey go give dem paper den de find up and down. Also, most black girls will never split the bills with you on a date, abeg you won de spend ur block money on babe and u no de work? Even if u de work, na on top babe u won de spend ur hard earn money? Be wise. Moral of the post - share your experiences but let's desist from generalization, say things the way you Experience it and the way they are. |

Bro i wont advice you take Care-Concept oooo if it is private insurance, i know of someone who just got little ileness and had cause to visit the hospital,he was using a private insurance, spent just one night there ooo, nah so hospital dey call am to come and pay or forward the bill to his insurance when we go the hospital nah so i begin laugh for hospital loudly a swooping 600+ Euro for just one night if the illness dont know if his private insurance will pay for it on time and the hospital will keep calling him, had it been its a public insurance now like AOK no need to worry, Hampy: |

Bro, thanks for you advice. I really appreciate it. But just try and look it up - www.care-concept.de. We shouldn’t just take everything we read on this thread as being as it is. We should try and do our own individual research and make up our own minds. If everybody on here has been using AOK, that one no mean say Hampy go use AOK. As long as AOK is not compulsory, then I’m not using it. Except say na by fire by force. AOK is just too expensive. Care-Concept is much more affordable. And as for the benefits - I’m perfectly okay with the benefits provided by Care-Concept - the insurer is HanseMerkur, I’ll get inpatient, outpatient and dental treatment, medically prescribed medications, pregnancy examination (for the babes wey go get belle…lol), and all you have to pay is just 50Euros deductible aside your monthly premium, accident related medical treatment of up to 250Euros, repatriation and burial cost of up to 10kEuros and a lot more. I no fit shout….look it up. jerikoyan: |

Kelvinpam:Whao! It's nice having you around, bro.I have a lot enquries to make concerning the course (Mechatronics), the School itself, City of Siegen(presence of industrial firm, general cost of living as compared to other cities, how busy it is in terms of commercial activities, etc), availability of part-time jobs for students, among others. I have made a good deal of research online about the school and my intended course from daad.de and some other sites but I believe that having a firsthand information from someone who is there already will not be a bad idea.If you wouldn't mind, I shall be getting in touch with you, when necessary, to get needed information as regards the application process. |
