stolid:Hi. I'm not sure Sahara recruits civil engineering graduates. I stand to be corrected though. Last year, civil wasn't listed. Probably they never wanted civil engineering graduates. NBC: civil wasn't listed. OK. Olam... No. DBH... What's that? Keep applying bro. It might just be your age or grade or other things they needed from applicants which you may not have. You can try hard copy cv submission across various civil engineering firms. One thing about this course is experience. Try and do some related jobs, be it voluntary or freelance. Or you could try some of the Civil engineering or architecture CAD softwares. This will boost your cv surely. I never got invite from those firms you listed. Cheers. |

| Re: Jobs/vacancies Section Chatroom by davide470(mod): 11:39pm On Nov 11, 2015 |
amicable09:Well, HR's of nowadays prefer to outsource their recruitment, especially most banks. Graduate Trainee(s) of this nature is for actually core staffs. First Bank used Workforce for its last Graduate Trainee recruitment so you never can tell. |

amicable09:You are a smart lady, I see you scaling the test easily. The first thing you want to avoid before tackling the questions is being tensed. Secondly, each test should have its own mission statement and instructions which ordinarily should guide you on how to answer the questions. Decision making : Keep in mind that multinational companies like Shell want a good relationship with the local community, so all decisions you would be making should encourage local development. Also, with the goal of a long term growth and sustainability means upfront money profits are not the only form of risk to look out for when taking decisions. So consider organizational, commercial, political, environmental risk first when you are taking this test. The koko is your decision should be geared towards sustaining growth and not money or profit. ![]() Problem Solving Task : I want to assume this is same thing as the numerical test. Before delving into this, ensure you are in the right frame of mind and you have also practised loads of questions beforehand. I think Shell recruitment favours the SHL kinda questions for their test so you might wanna get on your hands on some SHL questions (if you do not have, pm me I will send you some I have in my archive). While sitting for the test, check if any sample question was provided (Sample questions are most times very easy and do not only serve as a guide to solve the test, they also serve as a major confidence booster) so ensure you don't miss it. Next thing is you need to know is how long the test would take and how many questions are in it. This is help you in deciding what time you allocate for each question. Assuming there are 20 questions and you have 20 minutes to answer them, that leaves you with 1 minute per question. What this means is that under no circumstance should you spend more than 1 minute on a question. If after reading the graph, pie chart, equation you still cannot decipher it under your allocated 1 minute, click on the most likely answer and move on to the next one. If after you are done with the test you still have some free minutes left, you can always go back to to the ones you guessed and take your time before answering them. Also ensure there is working calculator, a pen and a sheet of paper by your side because you will need to do some rough workings. Hope I was able to be of help.......... Wishing you goodluck. ![]() |
