I am very certain these three people were disappointed.....

1. James Ocholi -After all the buzz of being minister of Justice, he was assigned state for labour.

2. Abdulrahman Dambazau - He was nailed on to be defence minister, but he got interior.

3. Kayode Fayemi - No comment...Lol grin
Minister of interior is also security and very juicy but people don't really know.

All these National Identity, Police are under him even the likes of NPA, NIMASA, AVIATION, IMMIGRATION etc will also report to him on security issues.

I was very happy about the Ocholi of a guy. The guy is a crook. He shouldn't be allowed near anything that has to do with our legal system.

So people expressing their opinion and expressing hope and optimism that things will get better has attracted this kind of insult, terming them 'Fulani arselickers' right? We know your type. And we know what is paining you. They will perform by the grace of God, so that the voices of people like you will be silenced.

I see nothing but propanganda in this write-up. I thought we were told that PMB selected men of integrity and honour, why the issue of ongoing investigation on some Ministers again.
PMB has chosen his Ministers and assigned portfolio to some while others are yet or could not secure any portfolio for now.

Enough of this media hypes. Let's just wait and see the change promised being delivered.
Which of the ministers don't have portfolio?

BWAHAHAHAHA. Is this a joke post?
Minister of Transportation >>>>> Niger Delta Minister. By FAR. As in, there's no comparison whatsoever. It's like saying someone who was made a Governor is disappointed not to be a local government chairman. Haba!

Same goes for those talking about Fayemi. This is a golden opportunity to shine in Nigeria. It has far more potential for political rejuvenation than the foreign affairs ministry. Gbawe has it right here. We're trying to diversify here...just harnessing coal in Enugu alone will create lots of jobs in the SE region alone.
Sometimes when seeking a Job, one may have to accept something with lower enumeration simply because it affords more time with family.

Amaechi, putting in clear terms is not loved by most Riverians and NDeltans, none the least being his role in the defeat of GEJ at the polls.

The ND ministry though smaller than the Ministry of transport would have afforded him ample opportunity to give his people the type of development GEJ failed to bring..it wpuld have afforded him the opportunity to prove thay his fight with GEJ was for their interest and he woould have become beloved and admired by them, and also built strong support base in ND.

Obviously he lost out.

Fayemi has a good ministry in which he can prove himself. It's a 'virgin' ministry in the sense that not much has been done in that ministry. He only needs to do a few meaningful things and he would be celebrated.

My prayers are for Kemi Adeosun who seem to be entering into an oversized shoe, and for Fasola who has entered into a tight shoe.

Nigerians, pls join me to also pray for POWER for Fasola to effectively WORK in that HOUSE.
Fashola tight shoe? Folks the chap has no shoes!

He should be ready to be thrashed by impatient Nigerians. That man has got his work cut out for him for the next four years, not a single idle moment save sleep is available for him if he really wants to turn things around in the sectors assinged him. It won't be easy on him.

I think it will be the other way round actually i.e Fayemi will be very happy he got mineral resources rather than foreign affairs. Fayemi has gained a very important and critical portfolio under a government that is very serious, even desperate, about diversifying Nigeria's economy and earning power away from oil. Agriculture and effective commercial mining of Nigeria's minerals endowment are two of the fastest way to do this.

Buhari will be too painfully aware he must break the vicious cycle of Nigeria's over-reliance on oil that has now mired us in an economic downturn. For the challenges facing Nigeria today, I don't see how foreign affairs can be deemed as important as mineral resources.
You are very sharp. U are correct!

Buhari goofed @ the Ministry of Education. Making Adamu Adamu, a journalist as subtantive Minister and a former University VC a junior Minister of Education bespeaks of very poor judgment

If after 4 years Lagos State still groans under the menance of traffic hold ups and tanker drivers wahala.... then something is wrong with the state.

I expect BRF to use his office in addressing the issue of abandoned Federal Government buildings in Lagos State, help expedite on-going repairs of federal roads etc in the state as well as Nationwide.

Power stability still lies in the hands of the cabals so I don't expect much from him in that direction but good luck to him though.

This is awesome! Fayemi would be particularly disappointed. Maybe he was the one boasting about that Foreign ministry is his birthright. shocked shocked Baba decided to show him pepper! tongue
nooooo, Baba doesn't have issues with Fayemi , in fact, he has a good plan for him there to tap our solid minerals and generate revenue, and diversify our economy. Pls note.

Maybe "a bit surprised" instead of "disappointed" is better.

I agree with everything you've said. Add Amaechi in that list of super important ministers. He has to make real impact in our transportation infrastructure.

All in all, PMB is a very wise man especially seeing how he shared the portfolios with the Southern part of Nigeria getting ministries that are vital to the revival of our economy.
Power, Works, Housing, Finance, Solid Minerals, Budget & Planning, Transportation, Petroleum, Industry & Ttade, Labour & Employment and even Foreign Affairs are all in the South! More respect to the man PMB.
@the bolded, this is what a lot of guys especially the wailers will not see, PMB has just proved that he is not a tribal bigot as being perceived by some folks, to have a northerner as a president with the minister of finance and even foreign affairs from the south speaks volume that he is a true Nigerian after all.

With what BRF did with Oshodi and others in Lagos, am sure he will not disappoint us, believe me this man is a machine. When he was governor, he doesn't rest, now he has so many things to do. This is a challenge for him, Kemi and Fayemi to prove these idiots wrong by damming consequences and this is what Mr President wants. Fayemi has an opportunity now which is solid minerals, believe me he will have the ears of Mr President any time because he wants results from here and it is a virgin ministry, with good and favourable results, it can be splitted. I wish them all good luck. We are monitoring them, we want actions.

It's time we face the goverance of the nation and stop talking about pdp. Whether we like it or not pdp has contributed its own quota to the natio. As usual with Nigerians they easily forget ones efforts once you are no more in power and the same fate awaits the APC. Suffice it to say that most of the present politicians in the APC were once in the pdp. We pray for the success of this administration. My candid advice to this administration is to avoid in totality the urge to look for scapegoat. It's over

Guess who's in charge of air, land and sea now? Life and its many antics sha!

Exactly what I told freeglobe who was gloating like a ... yesterday.

IMO, AbdulRahman Dambazzau should be the most disappointed. Interior is a far cry from the defence portfolio he must have been expecting.

P.S : Am getting some silly mentions which funny enough are from my fellow comrades.

FYI, the topic of the thread was " How Buhari shocked some ministers". I wrote a list of those I felt were shocked to get something different from what was being speculated and different from what they were screened with at the Senate.

What do I see, people trying to talk to me about interior/solid mineral ministries. Did I indicate in my write up that what they got wasn't good?

Na wa for una!
Dambazau- Ministry of interior is equally powerful, even better than defense. You've the police, immigration, civil defense, etc under your belt.

Fayemi- The extractive industry is the focus of Buhari's government, not oil or foreign affairs. i'd say Fayemi got what would be the most active ministry and the one that'd command the president's attention out of all the others.
